Comoys! sweet mediocrity...nothing fancy, nothing outstanding, but a fine boring blend. All the well priced damned right...more flake for the money. It's all relative...most all the tobacco is from the same big contract producers, so It really doesn't mean a damn what the label says on the tin.

Just smoke it. It's all the same.

Although it's not straight va/per I find ps luxury bullseye flake to be the best vfm of the category for my smoking taste.

After sampling quite a few due to an order I placed and samples from a very generously member here I have to agree—that and Peretti’s Park Square are my favorites to date.

Does anything in bulk come close to Sutliff’s Crumble Kake?

I’m referring to the English #1 which I know isn’t a VaPer.

Believe it or not, their Super Value English Mixture has some similarities. Here's my review of it:
The smoky, woody, earthy, lightly musty, sweet Cyprian latakia is a major player, though it never dominates the experience. The red Virginia is tangy dark fruit sweet with a little earth, wood, bread, sugar, and a touch of vinegar as a competitive supporting player. The bright Virginia provides grass, tart and tangy citrus with a light floral, tart lemon and sugar notes in a secondary role. The burley provides a lightly earthy, woody, nutty sweetness as a condiment. The earthy perique is a minor ingredient, more plumy and raisiny than pepper. Also added to the mix is some Oriental, which seems to be Smyrna, which is woody, earthy, floral, herbal, vegetative, and buttery with a very slight sour, mustiness. The nic-hit is just shy of the center of mild to medium. The strength is a step short of the medium mark, while the taste level is medium. Won't bite or get harsh, and has very few rough edges. Well balanced with a little complexity, it burns cool, clean and fairly smoothly at a moderate rate with a very consistent sweet and savory flavor that translates to the pleasant, lightly lingering after taste and room note. Will burn to the last ember as it leaves virtually no moisture in the bowl. Requires an average number of relights. It’s an all day smoke that won’t dull your senses, and would make a good starter English blend as well as a comfortable companion for one experienced with blends in this genre. Four stars out of four.

No need to feel funny pimping your reviews when they’re so helpful to many. The English Crumble Kake isn’t so damn good if that’s even half the way there I’d be happy...

Based in large part on Jim's review, I tried the Super Value English Mixture and really liked it. It has become part of my regular rotation.

I can’t say the same unfortunately. Bought a pouch and found it to be slightly caustic tasting and all around unappealing.

Sorry to hear that. Something you might try is adding a little burley to it. I had a blend that tasted a little strong for me, kind of a cigar taste. I added some Prince Albert to it and really improved it.

I had another bowl a little while ago after not touching my pouch for a few weeks. Not sure how else to describe it than some harsh sourness that hits the back of my tongue. Anyway, no big loss as I just bought a pouch to try. Have you had the Sutliff English Crumble Kake?

No but I've been wanting to try it and the one with Perique.
