I ride a 20” bmx bike and try to do basic tricks. More than once, neighbors have questioned whether I’m trying to relive my childhood.
you should inform them you never stopped living you childhood.I ride a 20” bmx bike and try to do basic tricks. More than once, neighbors have questioned whether I’m trying to relive my childhood.
Mmmmm...... I have a young heart and young soul maybe? ?hate to tell you there is an age too old for that. According to my notes that age is dead. Or one to two years past the recommended age.
That McGill and Hawk are awesome! Which is the light Blue deck? Just watched the Tony Hawk documentary which totally relates to the question on this post. Hahaha!43. Not going to stop skating. It may look juvenile to others but I gotta do what I gotta do to feel inspired. Comics too. View attachment 139052
Most middle aged folks don’t get it.
Hah! I had of those! Emerald green with a sparkly yellow banana seat. Broke my front tooth on the front tire when I went over the handlebars! Loved that bike!I still ride a 20" bike a lot. 1968 black Schwinn Stingray Fastback modified. That's sort of weird. I'm 52 going on 12....lol

Comes from being a freestyle skater. When companies started adopting the double kick tail design, the wider boards were harder to find.I never got the hang of riding popsicle sticks
Makes total sense.Comes from being a freestyle skater. When companies started adopting the double kick tail design, the wider boards were harder to find.
IIRC, World Industries and New Deal spearheaded that movement.Makes total sense.
Thanks. It’s a Powell Peralta Tommy Guerrero - the one with the flame & sword on bottom. Nice Rosskop - and I see you’re in CA I would be all up in the drainage canals and pools with that thing! Unfortunately where I live there isn’t much like that, fortunately I enjoy aerial tricks and just riding around…That McGill and Hawk are awesome! Which is the light Blue deck? I always liked their artwork / theme (on Hookups)48, most of my set-up is Hookups and Indies.

No doubt. Have been able to retain a good degree of curiosity about the world and a willingness to explore, try new things, and retry old things.you should inform them you never stopped living you childhood.
Ha my first board was awesome. I got it in second grade. I won it from a supermarket. It was this huge thing it was the coolest blue color and I swear the best feature was the image on the bottom was the logo for Dad's root beer. Playing with that was the first time older kids (like with a car) gave me props. That board was awesome and then it broke in the 90's. And I don't remember what boards I got after that. By the way I always sucked at skating. I enjoyed it. Weird thing is the skaters I knew where dicks to people who couldn't skate good and tried. I don't know why they gave me a pass and I was still o.k. while sucking.I never got the hang of riding popsicle sticks
I have to reply to this due to your avatar and your name: I still run a regular game of 1st-Edition AD&D. And I'm building an app and starting a website for it too: Musing of the Pig-Faced Orc - The Pig-Faced Orc - http://www.thepigfacedorc.comI do a lot of stuff like that. I still skateboard, read comic books, collect toys and baseball cards. Guess I never grew up haha
