They lost me after the black album.
I love cover songs and got into the Misfits through Garage Days. The Garage Inc. covers weren't as good, but a decent mix nonetheless. Whiskey In the Jar and Tuesday's Gone are legit and adding the previously released b-sides on disc 2 makes the album.

In my opinion, if Load and Re-Load were booked down to 1 album, Metallica may have rekindled the magic of the Black album.

For me they'll never top "Eye of the Beholder".

I feel like they were the wrong band for those songs. Like they're not terrible songs. But one Hetfield just doesn't have the right voice or style for them and the rest of the band just doesn't work. If they would have sold the songs to someone else it might have been decent. At the very least they could have changed the band name.

46 years old and I cruise on my Old School Skateboards and play Paintball. Thats the newest board setup. I have to take it out on it's first ride soon.

As much as I'd love to skate again, I'm too fearful of breaking a hip or something now. Below is a pic of me doing a frontside grind with my 10" Alva Pig (with Indy 151s and Sims Gyro wheels) at a plexiglass park in Staten Island in New York in 1980.

I never got into the skating publications or videos. I had friends that did and just had to have all of the trappings. I was just into the skating.
These are only focused on deck art. You and a few others were talking about Pushead & Zorlac and it has a good write up on the artist and the company (a little skate history).

I was probably 5 when the zorlac decks were big. You were probably one of the older cigarette smoking scary lookin skaters lol.

There’s also Per Weilender art and probably lots of other skull art if you change your mind.

Is Disposable the one with Per?

Yes. It covers pretty much every brand/skater & artist from the late 70’s to mid to late 90s. Many examples of deck art (actual deck photos) and maybe 3-5 pages on each artist/team/skater.

I like how it docu the evolution of skateboard design - both graphics and shapes, and goings-on in the industry over the years.

PS I saw an old man skateboarding in my neighborhood last night. He had 2 little kids and they were on tricycles. He could have been walking - it was nice to see someone else not caught up in appearances.
