The longer I smoke the more I find myself liking the traditional shapes the best but I also do very much enjoy the more Danish approach as well. But lately, I’m almost always smoking traditional shapes. It’s funny how tastes change. When I first started smoking I hated straight pipes, I always bought bent pipes. I still like bents but nothing beats a straight billiard, Dublin or a Bulldog in my opinion. I really like the pot shape too.

what changed that made you gravitate towards straight pipes from bent?

I have bunch of straight and bent pipes. I generally like the aesthetic of a straight pipe more, but find a slight bend more comfortable when I clench.

I tend to keep to traditional shapes. It's what catches your eye and you like smoking. Other than cobs I don't gravitate to straight pipes.

Im not really sure, I’m a clencher too and I find that bent pipes are slightly more comfortable. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my bent pipes but my eye wonders off to those lovely straight pipes (drool), my bent pipes are always giving me grief for it. A man can look right?

Of course, I'm a traditionalist. Among my friends, t and shorts are considered formal. Can't remember when I wore a pair of trews. And Peterson is the brand for me. Can't get any more traditional than that!

I don't care much for billiards, have a few Dublins. I mostly prefer Artisan's take on traditional shapes with Rhodesians and Bulldogs bring my favorites.

Harris, I've seen you in the yellow leather. Reminded me of a pimp I saw in the combat zone in Boston. In fact, I figured you may have stolen it from him.

I'm very much into dressing up myself. Drifit teeshirts with gym pants are my preferred attire. I do put on a collared Nike or Under Amour shirt to play golf. I consider it a good year whenever I didn't have to wear a tie once. That means nobody I care enough about to go to their funeral died.
Exceptional sarcasm! Just wonderful! Remind me not to get you pissed off.

I have more Billiards and Dublins and Apples than any other style. The rest of my collection is made up of Rhodesians, Brandy's, I have one Bulldog, one Volcano, one Cherrywood and a few more onesies.
It is kind of weird because my cloths are all silk, my shoes are Lizard and Crocodile Mezlans. I have expensive suits and sport coats. I have killer leather coats one is a yellow leather from Spain that is a total looker.

I just cannot get into tad pol,Ramses, Pokers, free hands and so many others. So are any of you guys like me, got to have traditional pipes but are pretty fancy in other areas?
Harris,

I have more, better, and larger traditional pipes than you, you little punk! My traditional pipes can beat the crap out of your traditional pipes and make them cry like the little bitches they are.

And I also like weird pipes as well. Toscanini referred to tradition as the last bad performance.

Tradition, shmadition.nnnn

I'm more of a traditional all around guy. If I've got anything leather it's either black or brown. The majority of my pipes are straight Billiard or Dublin shaped. I do like Army Mounts though and am a sucker for a nice blast. The only thing fancy I like are guitars. But again I'm traditional, give me 50s specs Les Paul, Tele, or Strat over anything else.

Billiards and Dublins. Straights all the way.

Ever notice that American artisans almost always carve bent? I guess they think, and the emphasis here is that I'm guessing, that the sinuousness of a bent is more sophisticated. Again just guessing. I find this regularity boring. Well, then how is it that I am not bored with straights; nothing could be more regular. My only defense is the elegant austerity of the line, which is are never boring.

For pipes ... I smoke what I like. While a little leaning towards traditional, I have both.

For clothes ... pretty much the same. At work I almost always wore dress pants and shirt, and for a few years, were required to wear a suit and a tie. The last year, before COVID shut down, dress code was relaxed & I downgraded to Jeans and a dress shirt.

Outside work, it’s mostly jeans (Or very occasionally Chinos) with a polo t-shirt or small motif casual shirt. This is what I also wear for video conferences now.

Edit : Casual and Polo shirts are untucked, dress shirts tucked in of course
