Picked up The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remaster (it's more remake than remaster I think) and I'm giddy as a kid on Christmas. Was anyone else waiting on this hoping the rumors were true but expecting it to be exactly only a rumor?

Ran an original prototype build of 'Le Mans 24 Hours' for Dreamcast, mostly to check out the Free-fly Cam mode:
IMG_7002.JPG

It has a few extra camera modes & a car-switching feature that can be run during a race, using start + 'a button' to activate/select them. I was having trouble getting it to work & I think the guide online was slightly different than what I pressed, but it was cool to fly around & follow the cars for a while. I just parked my ride on the infield & switched to the free-cam. It locked up once when I zoomed out infinitely, but other than that, it lets you go anywhere.

This has some differences from the final release, & I don't think they were done adding in all of the graphical effects that I'm used to seeing in the finished version. I played it for an hour & was mostly trying to figure out how to get the fly cam to work & not looking much at the graphics.

Followed a battle between a Nissan & a McLaren as the sun went down

Need to keep adding in the power down the straights, or my fly-cam wouldn't keep up:

I can go about twice as fast as the cars, however, & also turn/move to go in any direction. (The 'digital dash' on the bottom right is for my 'parked' race car.)

Chased a Brumos Porsche for a while:

Hanging in the grandstands. Who are those people on the roof of the Auto Club?

Let's go see:

Ran with a Panoz for a stint, the exhaust note still sounds great!

G.T. what? =)

Also, Fish Life Dreamcast is awesome!

Finally, I decided to go with the blue LED for the 'jewel'. The stock circuit only provides 2v which is usually what orange diodes seem to want, & the blue diode says it needs 3 or 3.2v, but it's installed & running anyway, & I'm happy with it. It looks like it does in the pic I posted yesterday. First I installed the blue one, then the multi-color one & found it to not be bright enough for me, so went back to a blue one.

I don't play on a computer, because I don't have one. :)
But ive had a console sinse Atari 2600.
I'm not too involved but I play some most days. I just bought a PS4 last November. I'll get the PS5 when the PS6 comes out and the PS5 is on its way out. That's how I roll.
I'm the oddball that likes Assains Creed and Far Cry. I have all of both and keep my PS3 connected to play the ones I don't want to buy again....AC 2, Brotherhood, Blackflag.
I am currently playing through AC 3, Gran Turismo 7 , Far Cry 5 and AC Odyssey.
I'm not the type to play through one game at a time. I like variety.

You are an anomaly. I don’t know how you find the time to play video games when you are taking care of animals all day.

As of 2020 I am semi retired from vetting. I do surgery for several local vets a couple days a week. Then a couple times a year I do rabies and spay/neuter clinics.
Most of my time is spent at the gun shop/range. Also in 2020 a good friends gun shop in NE PA was going out of business due to Covid. I invested in the shop and became co-owner. I already taught 4 firearms classes there a month. I still teach the classes, do 5+ surgeries a week and take care of my small farm.
The vet clinic on our property is now run by a great new vet who has worked with me for years. As soon as she finds a new location, my clinic will be just for surgery and clinic days.
I also help her with large clients like dairy farms occasionally.
I have a short attention span. I only play for an hour or less in one sitting. Usually at 9pm before bed. :)

Bought/downloaded day one and am having a blast! There was confusion at first as to whether it was happening -- they kept a pretty good lid on it.

Yeah. I guess they decided they needed to release something since we've been waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI for so long, and they can only give us so much Skyrim. However, I'm totally cool with more Skyrim. Not many games can stay as popular or relevant for 14 years like Skyrim has.

It really is a great game. Of course now I'm planning on playing Skyrim again for the hundredth (exaggeration? Maybe...) time once I've played through this again.
Look out, yet another Skyrim rerelease incoming! I joke, but wouldn't be surprised.

Skyrim is a classic. Oblivion just stuck with me more, for some reason. I've still been playing the original (often with a pipe to accompany it) now and then all these years. I don't even want to know how many hours I've put into it.

Finally got red dead redemption installed on my steam deck. It runs well. Just haven't had time to play much but what little bit I've played is alot of fun. I really enjoyed the first one on my ps3
It's a fantastic game. You would think there would be more Westerns after the success that game has had.

Some more hours of Lies of P later I am totally hooked, this game is unashamedly copying the Dark Souls + Sekiro (never played Bloodborne so can't compare) and does it almost just as well. Love the customization, feel the difficulty is just right - haven't yet used the summons system. It's really great and polished!

That said, Sekiro's combat is by far the tightest I've ever had in 30 years of gaming.

Some how I made it through the oblivion remaster envy. I haven’t purchased it. I played it back in the day.

Gonna download a game I never made it far in and dive in. Witcher 2. And no I never played the 1st or 3rd one.
