Grabbed a gold trophy at the Toscana Loeb Challenge by a mere half-second, & it took only around a dozen attempts. There's about 2 seconds between bronze & gold. All driver aids turned off except for ABS 1, & I turned the line on. I know where to go, but the dynamic braking suggestions can be helpful. Steering response was set to +3.

Then I headed over to the Eiger K-Trail Loeb Challenge & grabbed a gold after multiple attempts throughout the day. Around 2.5 seconds are between bronze & gold. Got a bunch of bronzes & a few silvers, finally stomped one & took a big 2.5 seconds out of the required time for gold, & it was a clean & stylish run to boot.

Starting off through the short paved section & then onto the dirt & up the hill...

Pointing this way, going that way...

Back onto a short paved section across a tricky transition, & towards the finish for a gold trophy!

Next I'm going back to the snow to start working on a gold at Loeb Chamonix, & then finally the Tuscan night tarmac race, to wrap up most of what I really want to do in this game.

Finally cleared every deck at least once in Balatro. I feel after 180+ hours I can finally put it down. also slowly plugging away at Baldurs Gate 3. and Red dead redemption 2.

I've heard nothing but good things about this one. I generally suck at parrying in Souls-likes, so I'm wondering if that will be a problem with this one
Dodging is necessary, parrying is not but it makes a huge difference if you can do it. You can certainly finish the game without ever parrying but some optional bosses require it. The sound queues are better than visuals for parrying.

I recently restarted even though I hadn’t finished it, to take more of the story in and it’s even better. What’s also better is my “skill”, I am blasting through the game at the moment because I got good at parrying and also have learnt how skills, stats, weapons and buffs synergise, and how to set up combos. The first time ‘round the game felt hard on normal mode, now it feels just right: simple battles are very manageable, bosses are sufficiently challenging, but won’t make you angry! That said, I am contemplating putting the difficulty up. The issue with that is that it just makes all enemies have more health and do more damage so I’ve read it becomes a slog where you basically need to execute the same strategy for longer, as most enemies can wipe the party in a single turn if you make a mistake.

The combat system is deep, there are tons of equally valid setups, there’s a ton of weapons and none are useless. Some are broken and players have figured out ways to do ludicrous damage which trivialises the game, but that doesn’t interest me.

And finally, need to say that the music and sound are mind-blowingly good. Apparently they found their composer on reddit.

Can’t wait to see what more this studio will do now they’ve earned a lot of extremely well-deserved money.

I haven’t felt like this for a game since Witcher 3. It’s the kind of game I literally want to call in sick so I can play, never do it though!

Dodge at and around enemies. Dodging backwards opens you up to attacks.

You need to give Stellar Blade a try. Souls like gameplay with incredible music.

Hey brother, putting a real women in a video game is these days 🤣
🤷‍♂️The three people on the planet that don't know what a woman is really aren't controversial, they're just loud. If a game is good it gets my money. Companies that cater to that will go under and we'll see a Renaissance of good games.

Watched a video this afternoon, there's a game on Steam called Sunken Engine, which I haven't played, but apparently part of it is that you have a bar at the top of how "mad" (insane) you're going which gradually fills over time, and to keep the madness down, you have to smoke a pipe.
