After my third try - I have to say it is my good category & I recommend it to lovers old time blends. The cinnamon calms down during the smoke and the other flavors come to the fore. Cocoa & honey are present - just subtle. There is still a tiny bit of acridity/bitterness as a base note - but it is not discouraging or a turn off. This blend could bite if puffed too hard. So I recommend a gentle puffing which is why it is probably perfect for Anglers everywhere - you won't scare the fish!

I smoked my first bowl of this last night!
Very complex for me. I wish i knew what was in it.
I definately got the hot tamale thing going on but the cinnamon was very subtle for me. I personally would have liked a much stronger dose of that, but that might turn this into a heavy aromatic blend, which I would love.
It was a nice smokey flavorful smoke and even had some sweetness hidden in there which i was surprized about. I only drank water with my smoke and I could almost taste sugar on the back of my tongue when I took a good puff of it.
I got an extra dose of spice when I blew it out my nose. Definately something to be smoked very slow for me as the spice will get to me after a while. All in all a good smoke and I will purchase some from you as soon as it hits the shelves.
I will have to give this some more time in the pipe until then.

Great job.

glad to see someone else was reminded of the geezer blends.
enjoyed another smoke in my cob with it. it will be on my list for my next purchase because it is a blend that MAKES you slow down and smoke slow.
thank you, russ, for letting me have the oppertunity to try your new blend.

THANK YOU SIR IT WAS DELICIOUS!

The response has been incredible, and the feedback has been better than I had expected, as these kind of blends (semi-aromatic, over-the-counter) tend to be somewhat disrespected, but so far the positive and positive/neutral ("It was good, but not something I'd smoke every day.") have far outweighed the negative. Expect it to be available in 14 oz. plastic tubs around the middle of November. We may also make up some 1.5 oz. pouches for those who want portability. Thanks to everyone for their interest. It looks like this one might be a winner.

Ok, so I think this is my fourth or fifth bowl and this stuff has grown on me quite a bit. It's a nice chilly evening and very calm. Sipping this has removed the 'hot tamale' taste and instead its a very pleasant cocoa/cinnamon in both flavor and aroma. Good stuff.

It's not SUPER flavorful but I do like it. To my happily untrained pallet it's a very 1 dimentional smoke, but I like it more and more after every bowl. I'm finding it harder to detect the sweetness as the bowl progresses but i'm only allowed to smoke outside so I fear I'm losing out on a lot of the subtleties.
Nontheless I still love it! With my next bowl I'm going to add a pinch of 1Q and see what happens. Hopefully just adds that HINT of extra sweetness I seem to be completely missing.

I am still anxiously awaiting the sample. And from what I have been reading here, it'll be worth it.
