It was a very stressful day. I think my adrenaline was up. That could explain it.

Well I don't smoke for an effect. I just smoke a pipe to look cool and I love the the smell of a pipe, I stick with the blends I like ,maybe once in a while it will buy on ounce outside of my comfort zone and find a new blend I like

Well, it appears that last night was an anomaly. I just finished smoking a medium sized bowl of Five Brothers and it hit me like it normally does. That is about my limit of nicotine. I’m gonna go with @Hillcrest adrenaline theory to explain my sudden, short lived, increase in nicotine tolerance.
Plenty of variables—food intake, stress levels, time of day, temperature, dew point, moon phase, animic state... &c., &c.—on how a given stimulant affects a person that it's an exercise in futility (and maybe dizziness) to define set-in-stone amounts/limits.
Not sure what nicotine tolerance has to do with being a man...

I'm amazed at the variability of pipe smoking, not just in others by myself. Personally, I don't get anything from 5 brothers which confuses me... Certainly not because I have a high tolerance, many others will hit me out of nowhere that are supposed to be weak. I think alot has to do with body and mouth PH and the PH of the tobacco itself.
I prefer tobacco more on the milder side with a lower nicotine content. I've tried some stronger tobacco and have occasionally experienced a reaction, which I don't mind if it is very mild but choose to avoid. I don't need the buzz nor want any addition to nicotine. The pleasures of a pleasant taste and the enjoyment of the relaxing process of pipe smoking is my enjoyment and satisfaction.

Quiche is a fine lady no reason to bring her into this. Though seeing her has turned a few boys into young men. But

well men do have a higher tendency to have a higher baseline tolerance. Because God also made us more prone to do dumb risks probably.Not sure what nicotine tolerance has to do with being a man...

My favorite is how guys maim and kill themselves thinking girls or woman will be so impressed with their bravery instead of thinking what a dumb ass. They do love bravery but it's gotta have a point beyond pay attention to me.

But as for tobacco I've noticed that some blends pack a whallop depending on all sorts of factors, for example if I smoke something like Big N Burley after dinner it feels nice and relaxing but if I haven't eaten and smoke some I really feel it.
I've also found if I light up something strong like Bayou Night or Billy Budd after a few too many beers I'll start to reel a little. It all depends!
Next week your response to a bowl of Five Bothers could be different. I noticed that in myself.
