Since I was 12 to 50, cigarettes were what I looked for first thing in the morning. Tried everything to quit. Gum, patch, tablet. Nothing worked. Vape helped. I don't think it was nicotine that I was missing. If it was nicotine, gum and patch had plenty. Way I see it, it was habitual need to inhale something or hold something in hand. I don't know. But with vape, no more craving for cigarettes. But vape isn't tobacco. It tasted fine, there was huge cloud, but it was missing something. Pipe filled the gap. Now, if I smoke cigarettes, I get dizzy.

I know it's scarce right now (though hopefully not after Laudisi's first shipment gets in) but GH Kendal Kentucky kicks me in the gut. That, 1792 and Royal Yacht are the high nic blends that I'm familiar with. I take them all with caution, on a full stomach and go slow on them. My head's kinda spinning and my stomach churning right now on the GH KK and I just ate dinner.

While nicotine may be the primary, there's more to the cigarette smoking addiction. Oral fixation, the need/habit of keeping the hands busy, etc.. That's why, I think, cigars and pipes can suitably serve as substitutes for cigarettes. They respond to the "triggers". The taste of coffee and beer was a strong trigger for me. If a phone call came in when I was in the office, I'd automatically reach for a cigarette.

Maybe you're just developing a tolerance for it.Try straight Perique.Or maybe Haddo's Delight.
MacBaren Rustica is up there, too.Amphora has a new Kentucky Blend, which is similar to MacBaren Old Dark Fired, just more flavor in my humble opinion.
Nah, I don't chase nic hits. They're incidental to flavorful blends that I stumble across. Haddos does nothing for me though it's been years since I've had it. I'm curious though to check out pure perique, but I don't want to buy 1/2 lb from Whole Leaf just for a taste. Reviews of other blending periques seem mixed. I also don't smoke much. Maybe a bowl every 1 to 3 days and never 2 in a row.

Inhalation was a big thing for me. I still miss it and it's been 20 years since my last cig.
