Oh, I think the blast looks fine.
There were some great blasts available for quite a while after the drop. I'm very happy with the one I got.
Spigot won't normally pass a pipe cleaner, but my concern is will the draft hole be centered near the floor of the bowl, or off center and halfway up the side of the chamber...They are beautiful and who knows? Maybe you’ll get one that will pass a pipe cleaner?
The blast on a lot of the pipes seems like it was put in a tumb!er after the stummel was blasted. I haven't seen a lot of pipes where blast was sharp. I got a Milverton PSB with blast that didn't impress me, and there were other issues which caused me to send it back. I haven't/won't buy another new Peterson.
All my plips are vulcanite, except one, and that's on a silver made armyI wish that their entry level system pipes had vulcanite instead of acrylic stems too. Are even any of their P lips vulcanite?

I have two older ones that are vulcanite too but all the rest of mine are new. At least 5 or 6, maybe more.I know older the older pipes are vulcanite but all the new ones I've seen are plastic. Are yours older?
Yes. Aran, Kildare, Emerald Rustic just to name a few.I wish that their entry level system pipes had vulcanite instead of acrylic stems too. Are even any of their P lips vulcanite?
Too bad many of their photographs lack sufficient contrast (at least on my monitor) to make a judgment about the quality of the blast. The nice thing about SP is you scan through the pipes looking for the right one. Then that’s the one you get.
They look like they were batch blasted. If they looked more like this and cost $100 less, I'd probably bite.
