I picked up a couple oz of bulk recently, as I’m on a GH&Co binge.
I almost got a tin in NC back in Sept, but the gent at the shop talked me into Bob’s ChocoFlake.
I like anise, but I didn’t pick up much. The one bowl I smoked I didn’t set aside time for, so I didn’t pay the attention I should’ve. I think I’ll spend my lunch revisiting it tomorrow.

I think it’s just a rebranded run flake to be honest. There’s some regulation that forced the change I believe.
Yes it is Rum Flake but with the label it is sold as in Europe.
I ordered Rum Flake in January but received Jamaican Flake instead so I emailed smoking pipes and they informed me it that it is Rum Flake but win the European packaging.

If that is what it is then yes I have smoked that stuff on many occasions. Since this thread started I purchased a tin of this Jamaican Flake and realized it tasted like something I had received from Gawith & Hogwarts before in the past and now my suspicions are confirmed. I was worried that if I smoked a second tin I would suddenly start liking Bob Marley music!

I’ve been smoking Rum Jamaican Flake for years. I get a slight maple note if I get any flavoring at all from it but I’ve never gotten any licorice from it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s good stuff.
I also get a maple syrup note in this. I find it a very rich smoke and quite potent.
