I am in. are we going to stick by the rules this time I was a little pissed when the pass master of the secret santa pass did not even stick to the 25 dollar limit. when I stuck by it and felt like I did not give enough. how about this one we just give what each person fells led to give or stick to the 2oz limit.

Would love to try it, but I will fight it out like everyone else and try to find scraps somewhere. :puffpipe:

hey jship, I took this from reddit and I couldn't have said it better myself, their limit was $15, but some people sent out way more than $15. A few people on reddit received hundreds of dollars, some received iPads and computers!
"The Reddit Secret Santa is about giving. The amount of $15 is just a recommendation to help set basic framework for a gift exchange. The monetary value is both to ease an undue burden of expectation on the part of the giver, but also to help set realistic expectations for the giftee. Having said that, many people are blessed, willing and able to spend more. Many people are also on strict budgets, and while the cash flow might be low, they have been blessed with talents and creativity that money can't buy. The point: use your gifts, talents, and blessings to create an amazing experience for a fellow Redditor. The memory you create will outlast anything else."
So don't worry if you feel your gift didn't go over the limit since it shouldn't have :) Whoever got your gift is probably really happy!

Yeah Jship, your gift was perfect. (Yeah, I figured it out pretty quick. Sherlock need not apply here! LOL!) No need to feel like enough wasn't given. There wasn't a blend in there that I had tried and actually, I've already decided to get some Mac Baren Black Ambrosia & C&D Consolation in my next TAD order (which could spring any moment). Based on the description on the C&D website, Consolation didn't seem like a blend I'd risk buying. Guess I was wrong. And how you managed to get those bags in that box is beyond me. Once they were out, they wouldn't go back in.
I see only one problem with this 2 oz. thing. What if your go-to blend only comes in tins. Is 50g or 100g OK? Or should we make up for the missing .25 oz with bulk and only ship 2 0z from the 100g tin? Yes, I'm probably over-thinking this, but I just want to have it out there just in case I'm not the only one.

Sounds fair and simple to me. I'll probably send mine in a mason jar anyway because all my favourites are bulk mixes, (though I have little experience with tins) and in a jar people won't have to worry about getting to it in any manner of hurry if they don't want.

Lordnoble, I would say if it comes in a 50g tin, just send that! If it comes in 100g you can send it that way or you can measure out 2oz. I since a tin of 50g cost pretty much the same as 2oz. of bulk (depending on what you buy and where) then a tin is great! wow does that make sense?

Hey Jship, you are right I did say a $25 dollar limit last time. To be honest The gift I sent was only $25 dollars I recieved it in a 3 for $75 dollar deal so simple math tells you. I know I said it many times during secret santa give what you can it is the giving that matters. On a lighter note, people opted in so far are:

I wouldn't say no 1Q because that is all some people smoke. I have 2 blends I have been swapping back and forth with lately and 1Q is not one of them. I have a feeling you will be fine Hobie.
