    Tea and a Pipe

As I smoke mostly English and Balkan blends, I find Upton Tea's Baker Street Afternoon Blend (Lapsang Souchong, Keemun and Darjeeling) to be a wonderful complement to the enjoyment of a bowl and beverage.

***What Are You Smoking, Nov. 2024?***

I got caught up with my Saturday ZOOM buddies, as I missed two weeks. One week was our church GreektoberFest and last week was the celebration of our church's Saint's Day (Saint Demetrios). I smoked some Drama Reserve in my Peterson 999 smooth Dracula (just a wee bit late for Halloween). A mug...

There was talk of favorite Halloween songs among my friends and I have quite a few favorite tunes. I thought I would start sharing with a real oldie from 1936 by The 5 Jones Boys (not really all brothers, and not really named Jones.)

***What Are You Smoking, October 2024?***

Just a few of us on the Saturday ZOOM (everybody else was in Las Vegas). I smoked one of my father's old pipes, a Fenmore Imported Briar carved apple, filled with 25-year-old London Blend 1000, mellowed but still wonderfully flavorful. My drink was the usual Peach/Mango Green Tea with a fistful...

This afternoon was gorgeous, sunny, unseasonably warm (low 80s), just right for smoking a cigar under the gazebo. I enjoyed a locally rolled cigar, "The Marylin" a flavorful robusto. I sipped a tall, iced mocha latte to complement the cigar.

You're entirely welcome! Bill Evans is my favorite jazz musician. I own all those albums in your set and more on LP. I saw him many times in the clubs here in Chicago until his passing. My wife, my friend and his wife and I shared an elevator ride with him after a club performance. My friend's...
