My brother introduced me to the Dead when I was eleven in the early 1970 with American Beauty. Had my first record player. Then I read Phil Lesh on the cover the first time. Ah yes, also for me Box of Rain was one of the songs spinning in my mind since then.
And maybe it’s just that: (to quote The Telegraph) A spokesperson said: “The change of artwork is long planned, since before the election, and is timed to mark 125 years of the Government Art Collection (GAC).”
Looks much better now in number 10. Seriously, those were pretty gruesome portraits, relics of the English colonial era. The paint is off. I don't think there's anything wrong with Paula Rego as a representative of contemporary art. All the better that her art shows the suffering of oppression...

Ah yes, I understand you’re a hard man in a hard world, where people have „going to get fucked with“ for what? „Shitting on pipe making in general“? Such strong morals? It’s almost a kind of religious fanaticism you’re showing up. I’m so sorry.
Don’t forget we’re talking about a man’s (not professional) work, which he seemed actually proud of. A little empathy would’ve gone a long way. We all know (at least now) what’s a billiard, that’s not the point. Even the mod wrote „OK, enough already with insults.“
That is probably the first time you’ve got a like from me because at least I detected a sort of humour. Greetings from „he“ on the other side of the Atlantic.
You misunderstood, of course he is an excellent expert, he proved it in many of his how to videos, but in this thread he is not of real guidance. As I said the tone makes the music. As skilful he might be, I wouldn’t choose that man as a teacher.
Sorry I can’t see any guidance of an experienced craftsman. He’s shouting out dogmas. It’s the way he does his lectures on the op that aren’t constructive at all.
Actually I thought of Robert Franks film Pull my Daisy Ginsbergs poetry included.
