Hardcastle Camden

New Tobacco Importing Rules For New Zealand
In the news this morning. No longer able to bring in whole leaf tax free. This is part of the Governments 'Smoke free 2025' quest but they still want the tax in the meantime. Tobacco tax increases 10% per year here. No permit required to import cigars though, still got to pay the tax on them...- brassmonkey

Touring Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Taking a Few Pipes. Suggest Great Tobacconists I Might Visit?
Well there are very few tobacconists in NZ and tobacco is VERY expensive - try about 9 times the cost in USA. oh and you can only enter the country with no more than 50 grams of tobacco per person and, of course, no smoking in any venues, cafe's, bars etc However, I would be plesed to welcome...- brassmonkey

UK Aims to Eliminate Smoking by 2030
Well we are way ahead here (New Zealand), Smoke Free 2025 is the goal. Though there is a referendum next year to decide if marijuana will be made legal. I figure I've got til then to get my cellar stocked, if im lucky. Currently tobacco tax goes up 10% on the first of January each year until then.- brassmonkey

Any Bird Watchers In Here?
I live on a peninsula that is known as the wildlife capital of New Zealand, i'm just a short distance from the only mainland breeding site of the Royal Albatross which has a 10ft wing span. Buying Online from New Zealand
Importing wholeleaf into NZ works ok, but expect to wait at least 4 weeks to get it as there will most likely be a delay when it gets to customs and is sent for heat treatment. Heat treatment has gone up in price - was $45 last year. Shredders are available for about $250 for a decent machine...- brassmonkey
