Kaywoodie Dating Question(No Number Stamp On Super Grain)

Not sure how to tell. It seems like a semi-hard, semi-shiny, very light weight plastic to me, softer than my other old kaywoodies which I believe are vulcanite. So I guess so, Nylon.

Kaywoodie Dating Question(No Number Stamp On Super Grain)

Ah yes, sorry-- 3 hole of course, since this one seems fairly new. Holes are on the large side. No markings on the stinger either. If the pipe itself was numbered it'd be one of the "Small bent billiards"

Kaywoodie Dating Question(No Number Stamp On Super Grain)

Pretty much the title. The pipe was unfortunately not just dip stained but dip varnished which was a bit of a headache to sand off-- perhaps thats a clue to the date? No number as per the thread title Just reads: Kaywoodie Super Grain Imported Briar My guess is 80's but if anyone knows I'd...

Anyone Able to Date Germain's Tins?

They're just playing hard to get, that's why they're unobtainables

Anyone Able to Date Germain's Tins?

Hmm nevermind, I think I've solved it. Found the answer in a youtube video: The letter near the end is 2019(a='16, b='17, c='18, etc). The next 2 numbers are the month. So 2019 October. Hope this helps someone :D

Anyone Able to Date Germain's Tins?

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) I have a tin of some Royal Jersey with just one code on the back label: 1069D103. I tried searching our forum here for some answers but dating this stuff seems like sorcery

    Had My First Cigar Today

I think that cigar( I haven't had it, so excuse the snobbery) is likely at or near the range of those tinderbox blends, in cigar terms. I'd start with something inexpensive but easily approachable, like 5 Vegas(give the "Gold" and the "Triple A" a try). Should be between a buck to two bucks if...

    Epic Box Pass 2020. 12-20-2019

Hey @tokerpipes and box pass crew. I almost forgot about this thing, umm... so a bit of an update. My pipe smoking enthusiasm has dramatically declined in the last few months. I no longer browse ebay for pipes, my forum activity has taken a nosedive, my TAD is in a dormant, manageable state and...

Holy crap, just saw this response. Thank you! It was eating away at me for so long

Daughters & Ryan, The Best or The Worst?

Let's put it this way. Like in any area of production/service, as a producer of tobacco, you have a tension before you-- the tension between making money and make good products. It's possible to do both, but very hard. You usually have to compromise. Do you want great tobacco? Well there's not...

Aromatic-Like Prop-Glycol/Humectant Detection In Match Victorian

I detect that in all Sutliff products, their whole line just doesn't jive with me, has a chemical and cheap taste

Identification Help: Fancy Cursive "Stamp": "Pfeifen Lob.. Lab?"

Atleast that is what I assume, I could be dead wrong so don't let me mislead you, but I believe it's a German 9mm pipe, the clues to me are "Pf" which could only in my mind be pfeifen , the German for "pipes", and the *gigantic* compound word below. Anyone here have insights? Cheers~

    Rossi Pipe Question.

Does it pass a pipe cleaner? You could try S+A treatment with the stem on and a cleaner down the stem and then letting it dry out, could loosen all the gunk that's gluing it together.

What Blend Do You Think Everyone Should Try But That You Will Never Smoke Again?

Anything with Latakia. I appear to permanently be on a Latakia free diet from now onwards, but there was certainly a time where I valued English and Balkan blends as my main smokes.

    Pipe Burnout?

How many bowls per day out of the same pipe? What do you do in between bowls, if you don't mind? I'd like to try this to experiment.

Anybody On Here Actually Had The Coronavirus?

You're fooling no one with this blatant fabrication, bats smoke the Dracula line of Petersons.

The Quality Bulk Tobacco Cellar for $200 Challenge

These are my conclusions as well, I've tried lots of stuff( still a lot to try though, I'll never stop), but Daughters and Ryan Two Timer Gold(having it as I type) and Rimboche AP are my most smoked tobaccos, I have lots of jars open but I reach for these two to suit every taste. I can't wait to...
