    Smokingpipes.com Barling Sale

Well, the pipe came in today and it's far more impressive in person than in the online pictures. I've only smoked one inaugural bowl of Charing Cross in it, but so far it smokes fantastically. The feel of the pipe is very high quality and though it's made in Italy, it comes across as a high end...

    Smokingpipes.com Barling Sale

As a couple of you might know, I caught the Barling bug and have been building a small collection of family and corporate era classics. Nothing horribly fancy, but some decent pieces I found for a good price. I have yet to buy any of the new Kopp Barling's, but saw they are sale at smoking...

Jim's C&D Sun Bear Navy Cask 2025 (Small Batch) Review.

That was the longest I've ever had to wait on smoking pipes. I wonder if tobaccopipes and CupOJoes getting shut down influenced that. Got my pound as well as a couple of tins of Bijou because I've never had it before and wanted to compare it to the sun bear.

Most C&D blends are too "fresh" for my liking. A couple of years in the closet and they are much better

Jim's C&D Sun Bear Navy Cask 2025 (Small Batch) Review.

Sounds amazing and even better than previous years. I'm surprised it's that strong in the nicotine department. With 20,000 tins, I won't feel bad ordering a lb.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2025?***

Happy national scotch whiskey day! Revisiting Grousemoor in a cob. Letting it air out for a while significantly reduced the bite I was experiencing. Excellent blend with a delicious dram. Cheers!

    Bulldog vs Rhodesian

I prefer straight bulldogs but bent Rhodesians. I have no idea why other than the militaristic/British empire vibe they both give off.

My Civic Duty to Smoke a Civic Pipe?

I've never heard of this brand before but she's a beaut! Love the shape and grain.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2025?***

My first time smoking Grousemoor in this large(ish) Barling's Make billiard with saddle stem. It smells and tastes very good, and I love my lakelands; however it is incinerating my tongue. I'm going to let it breath for a week or two in the tin and revisit. I want to love it and it's an...

    Tender Box

Yeah, it's sad. The one in OC has a decent tobacco selection, the standard STG and C&D tins and lane bulk you'd expect, but once and awhile some UK stuff. I recommend people stop by if they're in the area. I bought a couple Castellos from them and have my eye on an estate Dunhill if it's still...

    Tender Box

There's still one in Costa Mesa that's hanging on. Great bunch of guys there and they get some pretty interesting estate pipes in from time to time.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2025?***

Cracked open an 8 oz tin of Charing Cross and enjoying it in the Castello. Dreaming of fall and cool crisp morning with a cup of hot coffee. Until then, it's iced coffee and planting myself in front of the AC.

The Comfort They Can't Take Away

Its in nearly every gas station I go to in Los Angeles of all places, so someone's chewing it. It's just "Americas Best" now. I used to buy it all the time but I found a smoke shop that has Stokkers which is my preferred chew and dip.
