Billiard In Light Tones - 4th Chunk Of Briar

Very nicely done. I'd probably call that a Canadian though.

What Did Your Fathers and Grandfathers Smoke?

My dad was a Borkum Riff smoker. I asked, but even he didn't remember which variety.

    Best Burley / Perique blends

Well - if you're still looking for burley blends with perique, go to tobaccoreviews and select "burley based." Then click "show more fields." You'll see a selection for "Contents." Click on that box and select "perique." You'll find blends like C&D Burley Flake #3, C&D Big and Burley, C&D Old...

C'mon man. Who doesn't need more cowbell?

    Rotating between blends

I have 26 open blends at the moment. and 82 different tobacco blends on hand overall. In the last week, from memory, I've had at least one bowl of each of the following: Anniversary Kake - a VaPer Cult Blood Red Moon - an Aromatic Peter Heinrich's Special Curly - a VaPer Lane Limited Dark...

The handwriting is on the wall.

The potential death of McClelland's Christmas Cheer is the most disappointing casualty of all of this.

    Re-Released Dunhill Tobacco

    Actually, from my post above:

    Re-Released Dunhill Tobacco

If the product is on the market before the deadline, it can stay on the market for up to two years while waiting for approval - which it must submit a request for. If it's not on the market by the deadline, it cannot be marketed until AFTER it has applied for and received approval. Which won't...

    Re-Released Dunhill Tobacco

It doesn't matter how big you are. After August 7, no one can bring a new product to market prior to submitting for and gaining approval.

    Re-Released Dunhill Tobacco

I hope I'm wrong, but that's laughable. And I am a federal regulatory attorney. Unless that blend was being marketed in February of 2007, not just before that time, or after that time, then it will not be going on sale in the U.S. in October.

    Quote From Doctor About Tobacco

My son had this observation: Chemically, water is an acid. (Apperently in the way chemists/biologist classify such things, and not how most of the rest of us do.) Anyway - let some water sit on bare steel for a while, wipe off the water, and take a picture of the ensuing rust. Caption that...

Tobacco sales in the near future

I'd be shocked if smaller blenders like Smoker's Haven, Boswell, Milan, etc, who primarily (only?) distribute here in the U.S. would go to the efforts to find an overseas market, begin exporting, so we can purchase overseas, tobacco that has become, for us, just as legal as embargo Cubans. I...

    Perfect PAD/TAD

Sometimes it all just works. Anytime I'm travelling I try to find the most prominent local tobacconist and buy a pipe from the trip. Last weekend I moved my son to Houston (note: 897 miles in one day in a U-Haul cube truck with a trailer and a car on it is not the best way to spend a day)...

SToP Stopping Production Annoucement on Facebook

And people think those of us who have already been stocking up on post-2007 blends were Chicken Littles....

Dunhill Flake Is Back In The Rotation

Harris - I'll thank you to never speak of this blend again. Picked up my first tin last weekend and WOW! Unfortunately, it appears to be a unicorn blend as even without forum notoriety, i'm finding it very difficult to procure online.

First initial J, middle name Matt. Gone by my middle name since birth, but friends do call me "J Matt" as well as "Matt." Cheers.

    Dream Come True, Porsche Cayman

I sold my 993 C4S because it was turning into a garage queen, and I'm a driver, not a collector. So I sold it for 43k back in 2008. Apparently today if I had left it under its cover in the garage, it'd be worth 150k. Oops.
