Wow. Looks very much like the devil heads on an antique pipe rack some one posted a while back. A sitter is always a +. Nice score.

BBQ & The Big Green Egg

I am a big fan of the off-set smokers and real wood skoking vs charcol. I love having to figure out each pit and controlling the temperatures. That being said, when I start running low on wood or charcoal or the longer smokes, I sometimes envy the guys with the BGE. Much easier to control and...

My 1st Pipe but What Materials are Used?

Wow. Nice pipe and very nice photographs. A lot of those pics are hard to do. Read the article lawrence posted. It is great. In reality with meerschaum, other then sterilizing the stem and removing any major build-up gently, you are pretty good to go. And it does look pretty clean already so you...

    Kiseru

Nice pipe by the way seakayak. Can you post a pic of the tobacco too? I wonder where else these pipes are being used.

    Kiseru

It uses little tobacco pellets. It is a one or two hit job. The tobacco is very strong and is used as a way to get a quick buzz. In my research a few years ago I found it is used primarily in the middle east and is currently fashionable with the younger smokers. I looked into them when I was in...

Praise For Classic American Pipes (Cheap AND Good)

Great post Joe. I caught Grabow fever when I first started in with pipes. One of my first was an Omega. I have since sold most of my Grabows but still have the Omega and a Zulu I got from ejames.

    Something's Happening to Me

I have recently gotten all three of the 2013 Peterson Seasonal Blends. I have only tried the Summer and I this it is my new favorite blend and I will have to order more of it before it is gone. Initially they come a little wet and not sealed so I jar them all as soon as I get them. As I packed a...

Show Off Your $2000+ Pipes Here

Here is what I was talking about. http://pipesmagazine.com/blog/radio-talk-show/the-pipes-magazine-radio-show-episode-22/ A link to his pipe collection and some of his pipes below. I don't recall him mentioning how much he paid for his pipes, but I don't doubt many of his pipes hit the 2k mark...

Show Off Your $2000+ Pipes Here

We used to have an active member here who had a wonderfully high end pipe collection. The last post from him I remember was him actually thinning his heard and they certainly were beautiful works of art. He always sailed every where and would come back showing his newest pipes. I can't remember...

    Drill or Bench Buffing

This is my set-up. 1/3HP motor. Spins at 1725 RPMs with the Beal Buffing System. I love it. I mounted it to a piece of wood truss. This way I can clamp it to my bench when I use it and put it away when I don't need it.

Question About Another Country and Pipes

The only time I spent in Qatar was in the airport. In the duty free shop they had a steal on Davidoff pipe tobacco and I bought as much as I could legally put in my carry on bag. I was there on a lay over going to Abu Dhabi. While in Abu Dhabi I found a chain of shops called "Smokers Shop." They...

Their used to be a subsection for this. However, the owner/proprietor of this website is also the owner of BriarBid (Site sponsor). Thus, for legal and business reasons it was necessary to disallow this sort of transaction to occur here.

Discovering I'm Truly Enjoying Small Volcano and Dublin Shapes

I like the inlay and love a cumberland stem. Very nice. Volcanos are about he only standard shape I just can't stand to hold, but I am attracted to the beauty of the lines.

Real or Fake? Dunhill Pipe Rack

I agree with that. However, I do agree it seems someone may have taken a logo from a pipe sock or box and affixed it to the bottom. It doesn't even seem to be center. I also haven't seen much other Dunhill products without there name physically on it, not just a sticker.

    Rolando Negotia Atelier Egg

Wow. The bowl and stem look as though they are two separate pieces. Very nice craftsmanship.
