    Deep Bowl.

lockdown...What do you mean by the bowl too deep? I ask because a standard bowl depth for my pipes is from 1.5 to 2 inches, where others may prefer even deep or shallower. Many have mentioned Savinelli. I have 7 Savinelli pipes from 4 different product lines. All 4 different product lines have...

I'm Sure This Has Been Posted Before, Still Pretty Cool

Every time I see this, I think it is funny it conveniently skips over the finishing process. They buff it and it magically changes color. Thanks for posting again. I like seeing this stuff.

Peterson 2013 Seasonal Blends Are In Stock

So far I have now smoked Summer and Christmas. As stated above I absolutely love Summer. However, I was let down by Christmas. Christmas 2012 was much better. I am going to smoke it a few more times before I make my final judgement, but after two bowls in two different pipes, I am not impressed.

    1st Stage of Burnout

Just a point on your questions regarding the meerschaum. Meerschaum inserts are typically made for a uniform chamber. I have had 3 Sav Autographs and all three had unusually shaped holes. They were all custom the the shape of the pipe. Not sure if that has changed in the newer versions, as mine...

Quiz: Anyone Know What It Is?

I think it is a mold for pressing meerschaum pipes from meerschaum powder.

TAD Arriving Today - For The Cellar

I haven't had any of these. However, I have smoked most of the Peterson line and I am a big fan. I am sure Sunset Breeze will be good if you like these sort of blends. I am curious to get your feedback on the SG Jubilee. I am a fan of their Firedance Flake and have others to try. I saw this was...

    Home Insurance

I would recommend an insurance broker. They can negotiate for you and get you better rates because they can get bulk rates and don't cost you anything. I went through an insurance broker for my home owners and got a comparable quote from my auto insurance company. I showed them the quote from my...

I Don't Know Why I Keep Buying Pipes Like This.

Smokey I have seen a few collections that are made up nothing but small pipes so I don't think you are in the minority in being attracted to them. One of the collections, IRC, was an old line of small Stanwells that was highly sought after when it hit the estate market. Good lick with the resto...

    Question About Small US Towns.

These are typically replaced based on the Census, every 10 years. However, they get replaced using the budget for signs for the road they are on. Typically only on major highways.

    My Pipes Collection (Lars Ivarsson)

Sorry bud, but all I see is a bunch of pics that say "China Youth Development Foundation." Would like to see the pics of the pipe though. I am sure it is nice.

Being Happy With What You Do

MSO... this is exactly how I feel. With every job I have ever had, I have always felt there comes a time when I just need to move on. tarak...This is what I am looking for. In my industry it is quite common to see someone resume and see they have only spent between 2 and 4 years at every...

What To Mix Into An Aromatic To Cut Back On The Flavoring

I would say if you like VAs, try a straight VA, like MB No 1 or MB Mature VA. That's what I use.

Being Happy With What You Do

I ran across this and just had to share. lol. BTW I work in the corporate world and am leaving my current job for a new job in a week. The warning my current boss gave me this morning was "gonna be the same $***, just a different color. Have fun." So this may seem a bit funnier to me then...

    My Pipes Collection

Nice collection. the two in the middle that aren't a calabash really catch my eye, as well as every pipe in the bottom half of your picture. And, is that a Porsch pipe?

Peterson 2013 Seasonal Blends Are In Stock

Haven't tried the Holiday blend yet, but will in the next few days and will let you know. I did smoke a bowl of 2012 holiday this morning for the first time and I loved it. So much so I wished I would have smoked at least a bowl of it last year so I would have ordered more. I smoked a couple...

    Stingers

From my understanding, it was thought that the metal would help cool the smoke. It seems the general consensus is that it just gets in the way of the draft and makes it difficult to clean the pipe. Also gets in the way of the mid-smoke pipe cleaner. I usually remove them. The only issue on...
