    Brands to Avoid?

Acid has a bunch of different lines/flavors, but their most popular, the Kuba Kuba, is a little like smoking a Lakeland, only in a cigar. I've had one. That was enough. FWIW I love Lakelands in a pipe, but I've had very few infused cigars that I enjoyed. Right on about Gurkhas though...

Where Have You Traveled Outside Your Native Country?

International travel is one of life’s greatest pleasures! I am also American, and here’s my international travel in the order it occurred: Canada England Honduras Mexico Italy Denmark (1 day in Copenhagen) Germany Austria (1 day) Switzerland (1 day) France Spain Czech Republic Poland Slovakia...

    Watch City Rouxgaroux

Thanks my man! I can't believe it took me this long to realize WCC had an email list, and to sign up for it.

    Watch City Rouxgaroux

So, tomorrow is April 1st, so it's Rouxgaroux day at Watch City! Great blend, and a must try for anyone who enjoys a good VaPer. Anyone have any idea what time it will drop? Last fall's drop went ridiculously fast, so to get this will require advance planning. Last but certainly not...

    G. L. Pease Fillmore

Update: A little more than two weeks later, I've finished the tin, and all of my tasting notes stand. Great blend! I will now be awaiting the next GL Pease sale so I can stock up on this to cellar.

What Are the Most Fireproof Blends?

SG FVF flake...really, most of the Gawith/SG flakes. But the one that takes the cake for me is Ken Byron’s Byronic Slices. There’s some great red Va flavor in there, but it’s damn near impossible to smoke.

    Camel Meat

My experience has been a little different. I consistently find game meat to be better and more flavorful than American farmed meats. I think the variety in the diet and a “free range” lifestyle is part of the reason. Haven’t had camel before but I’d definitely try it. I’ll try pretty much...

Why Did D&R Stop Selling Picayune?

Short answer: The company was sold and the new owners decided to discontinue some of the more poorly selling blends.

4k/per month, according to the listing, so about 48k/yr. Roughly the salary of the average American.

    Help With PFAD Needed!

Also, asking us all for help is a little like going to the local pub and asking for tips on drinking less.

    Help With PFAD Needed!

I know what you mean. This is a conversation that has happened more than once in our house: My wife: "You spend a lot of time on that pipe forum." Me: "Yes, and...?

Looking for a Laid Back Virginia Blend

A third for OGS, and I'll throw in Amphora Virginia Blend for being a good, simple, no nonsense Va blend.

    Do You Drive for Tobacco

I do 95 percent of my purchasing online. There are no B and M stores in Tucson that are worth visiting. They’re either all cigars or all vape/ecigs. Any time I drive through Phoenix I do like to stop at Stag to pick up a few tins, but that’s 100 miles one way so I can’t really justify driving...

    Pipe with Smaller Bowl?

You're probably looking for something smaller than .75" across, and shorter than 1.5". As others have said, MM makes a number of cobs that would fit the bill. The 5th Ave Diplomat has exactly the bowl dimensions I suggest above. Other ideas would be not smoking the whole bowl, but saving...

    Memory Goes First..

Also, this thread is just plain weird. We've got two conversations going on at once, one a political argument, and the other concerning the end of the known universe. On the other hand, maybe both topics have more in common than we might think.
