We're having a thread on where we've lived, so where have we traveled outside our nations of origin? Inveterate travelers may want to just do highlights or the posts will require spreadsheets, but a good sampling of major or most memorable stops should work. No travelogues or slides this thread, just names of places, and one or two pics if you have them.

I'm no world traveler, but have gotten around from time to time. Here are a few of my major stops.

Canada several times, Mexico once briefly, Philippines, coastal Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, England twice (incl. Lake District, home of Lakeland tobaccos), Scotland, Ireland twice, The Netherlands, France twice.

Lots of stops within the U.S., my nation of origin, but that's a different thread.

Born and raised in Ohio, lived here all my life except a few years in California when I was 2 years old. I barely remember the California life, as I moved back just in time to start kindergarten......
I've visited:
Mexico
Canada
Bahamas
Barbados

Oh, and I almost forgot, I ran a chocolate factory in Germany back in 1971................ puffy

International travel is one of life’s greatest pleasures! I am also American, and here’s my international travel in the order it occurred:
Canada
England
Honduras
Mexico
Italy
Denmark (1 day in Copenhagen)
Germany
Austria (1 day)
Switzerland (1 day)
France
Spain
Czech Republic
Poland
Slovakia
Hungary

I’ve spent the most time in England, Germany, and France, with three trips to each country. I should add that about 75 % of these trips were tours with musical groups.
I really want to go to:
New Zealand
Asia, particularly Japan, China, and Vietnam

I didn't list Midway Island, Guam, or the State of Hawaii since they are part of the U.S.

I didn't see any of urban Vietnam, but people I know who have say the traffic is so dense you have to carefully catch a wave of pedestrians to cross the street and keep moving absolutely steadily to not get hit by vehicles. Doesn't sound so nice. Although I've had that experience in NYC.

The thing with Vietnam is that this traffic is almost exclusively 125cc motorcycles. You can easily cross solo, but your assessment about steady motion is spot on. It’s the strangest phenomenon, but if you just pick a spot on the other side of the street and just start walking, without changing pace or paying any attention AT ALL to the traffic, it will just swerve around you like the parting of a sea. Seems counterintuitive, at best, but it works. Blows one’s mind to just start walking directly into a sea of motorcycles, but they’re such good riders, they won’t hit you. They might reach out and steal a cell phone, but they won’t hit you.

I’ve been to:

Canada
Mexico
Colombia
Vietnam
Philippines
Hong Kong
Mainland China
Japan
South Korea
North Korea, but just the little part we can visit
Malaysia
Scotland
England
France
Chicago

That's accurate, as Boomer said it feels like suicide but it works. There are also almost no traffic lights at intersections, and those that have them, they are thoroughly ignored. The differences between rural and urban Vietnam are striking.

I took a trip when I was a teenager. Best trip of my life. I especially enjoyed the U.K. The small towns we stayed in were really warm and friendly. I drove a paddle boat in The Lake District.. I hadn't met my favorite blender (Gawith) yet.. But I'll be back, If the world ever gets straight again.
