    Help Inspire My Next Pipe

What a great and varied list. Can we ask which baccy is your 'muse' this fine Sunday?

Well, It Looks Like Smoking Season is Over

I did buy an insulated set of carhartt pants and jacket last winter after changing my brake pads in December outside. So I'll give that a whirl.

Well, It Looks Like Smoking Season is Over

I'm another guy in the "hang em up" boat. Winter us for huge pots of tea and a long book indoors.

    Why people hate aromatics

Fortunately I only smoke tobacco that's been carefully selected to be pressed and aged in the cleavage of a Brazilian supermodel. I've been trying to get her to agree to a proper flue-cured experiment, but she's not going for it. You mortals carry on!

    Why people hate aromatics

Ha! I'm not actually offended, of course. For me it's terribly simple; is room note a factor? Try an aromatic. Is it not? Smoke whatever you like.

    Why people hate aromatics

I'm sorry to have to say it, but your review bears the unmistakable tinge of the usual aesthetic and moral opprobrium of the 'snob'. Instead of telling us why we like aromatics, why don't you ask us? Because I assure you, in nine cases out of ten, fleshlights and beer don't enter in to it! Now...

    Justin Trudeau

One advantage of having a Head of State in one person and a Head of Government in another is that the people can unite behind their Queen while still being free to sling mud at their PM. Contrast this with the things people have said about Presidents Bush and Obama--it becomes difficult to come...

    Justin Trudeau

Ah, my mistake. In any case I did find the article to be an interesting read.

    Justin Trudeau

From the article Peck linked--which I don't think was the point he intended! They cited a number of other factors as well, however. As for what FC said, 4 parties with ten seats or more sounds like a damned pipe dream to me. I'd really like to see ranked-choice voting here in America--and an end...

    Smoking a cob in public

...I think he was rather hoping that you would be more specific. HD is Harley-Davidson?

    The modern man

I have to admit my feathers were a wee bit ruffled when I discovered that the boy scout in question had sold me Indiana pop corn. For shame!

    Hamilton

And yes, when I saw the writer rehearsing on stage with a t-shirt that said "Burr Shot First", I chuckled loudly and smugly. :worship:

    Hamilton

I looked it up--while I do have a longstanding admiration for Mr. Hamilton, I don't know that I'm sold on the writer's premise that Hip-Hop is the best vehicle of expression for the story of the Revolution. Here's a great video/interview for those who are interested in the concept (as I...

    The modern man

Yes indeed. The oldest popcorn company in America is in my hometown--The American Popcorn Company. You may know their product--Jolly Time! Family owned and operated in Sioux City, Iowa, since 1914. Are we off topic yet?
  17. elbert

    The modern man

Not really. Now some plain buttered sweetcorn is sure to pique my interest--and as I live in Iowa, this commodity is not difficult to come by. Popcorn strikes me as a viable packing material.

Would you pay full retail for a pipe if it was not exact to what you want?

A seven day set representing the work of seven different makers? I'd want the pipe as the craftsman envisioned it.

    The modern man

The damnedest thing just happened...I'm reading this list, and preparing to issue a complaint about the cost of movie popcorn (in relation to number three), when I hear a knock at the door--its a boy scout selling buttered popcorn for a fundraiser. This modern man is now the proud owner of a box...
