Can anyone read this? I think it’s a person’s signature.

thank You! I absolutely didn’t spend an hour or anything… trying to look up every name I could think of before posting it on this forum.

that’s the closest I’ve seen so far. it is a very similar style cursive, and this pipe looks a bit similar to pictures of Armoreli pipes. Great guess either way!

Just Finished cleaning up this somewhat odd, but very well made pipe. The walls Are pretty thick, but it’s very light. there is no flaws in the briar that I can see. While I was working on this pipe a lot of gold buildup was accumulating on the sandpaper, I think it could be real gold, it’s a...

just got this one in the mail with an estate lot. its A “500” 3 hole stinger, probably from the late 60s I can only make out something 6S for the shape stamp. Looks like a bad strike because I can’t make out the first numberI can’t find this exact pipe anywhere. Anyone know Anything about this...

To restore or not to restore… that is the question.

You would surprised how hard it is to keep my cat out of every shot. Always inches away. no joke she’s in my lap half the time I’m working on these pipes. I guess after 9 years, she’s leaned “pipe time is chill time”

I used Decatur pipe wax to even out the color and gave it a buffing. Then I used pipe mud to fill in that missing chunk. I think it looks ok, but I may do some more work on this pipe later on. In the meantime, I’m gonna smoke some really gooey aromatics out of it while I’m working on the other...

This is the “eBay special “ as it currently is. Now for the fun part. I’m going to revisit every pipe and see what I can do to improve it further. Let’s start with that Dr Grabow i Reshaped into a bent stem. For that pipe I’ll be doing some shaping to that bowl.

I do get lucky a lot, but I often have to file, carve, heat, sand down, and bend stems, before I can fit them into bowls.

To restore or not to restore… that is the question.

From what I just researched, this pipe was actually popular for a very short time… for some reason anyway. The filter is like a mini toilet paper tube with a thick sheet of paper at one end. The bowl is wood, maybe some kinda fruit wood, pear maybe? could be Apple. I really don’t think it’s...

I used a damp polishing cloth for the aluminum stem, it exposed a lot of micro scratches from previous polishing.

here It is after the initial cleaning. From the looks of it the pipe has bin cleaned a few times, enough to rub most of the logo off

This is pretty cool! it still has a filter inside. I wonder if you can still buy these? Other than being old looks like an unused filter, going to put it back inside when I’m done. both rubber gaskets need to be replaced looks like a piece of paper? Holding the plug in, the other is cracked and...

To restore or not to restore… that is the question.

I was saving this one for last because for the most part it’s just a “take apart and clean” kinda job. I’m not sure if the bowl is briar or not… probably not. Looks like someone smoked it a lot at some point though. Looks like it’s a Filto brand, funny I didn’t notice that before, you can just...

I do sometimes like carving On briar bowls, like this one. I restored about 7 years ago, I think the pattern looks nice. This pipe had about a half inch of cake all the way around the bowl, No stem, Was covered in gunk, and had huge Crack in the shank.

That burn mark is probably from spending time in an ashtray. The inside of the bowl is in Excellent condition. The briar itself has no flaws other that that external burn and a few dings The burn mark is likely from spend time in an ashtray. The inside of the bowl is in excellent shape. In...
