    Fountain Pens.

Ordinary fountain pen nibs are ground to be round and look a bit like a ballpoint. If you want line variation you are going to have to look into stubs, italic, flex or the countless of other different nibs. The variation of pens and nibs make fountain pens a very fun hobby!

    Fountain Pens.

That "ball" is just the tipping, a hard piece of metal which is welded on to the steel, and ground and polished. Which is why fountain pens are much more durable than steel dip pens. Basically every fountain pen has tipping, but if you want something like those dip pens you can buy an italic or...

To Teeth or Not to Teeth

I think he means that someone who does not clench might hold the pipe in a hand and let the mouthpiece rest pursed on their lips or with their lips just wrapped around the button. That is why the dctune said that this does not apply to clenchers, since it is difficult to clench a pipe without...

New catalin stem for 1911 Meer Cutty (yes another one)

Very nice job. I'm even more impressed that you didn't manage to break the pipe in the process, very easily done. It looks fantastic.

    My 5th George Boyadjiev

Really? I thought at least a couple of people has them here? Hopefully I'll get one soon, they really are lookers. Especially his more classic designs, and I love how all of yours look. I bet they smoke very well too?

That is a good looking pipe! Your Boyadjiev posts are very enticing. Enjoy it in good health.

    Incredibly Beautiful Straight Grain Radice.

I recieved this fantastic pipe as a gift, and it is incredibly beautiful. Cumberland stem and impeccable grain. The pics don't do it justice, it's marvelous. Pretty big bowl too, 22x43 mm iirc. Hopefully it smokes as well as it looks too :)

    The Great Meerschaum Cake Experiment

Mostly I just let the lighter come very close to the rim when lighting, so it blackened. But packing a bit too much works too of course. I did char the rim with purpose though.

    The Great Meerschaum Cake Experiment

I've not built an impressive cake yet, but it's starting to take shape.

    Samuel Gawith In Europe?

Thank you guys for the answers. Because of some very strange coincidence, I managed to get a hold of some from a German tobacconist yesterday. Maybe Samuel Gawith will be sold more frequently in Germany soon (:

    The Great Meerschaum Cake Experiment

I'll take a picture later today, but I've only ran through 20 bowls or something like that, so it hasn't impressively caked up, yet :)

    Samuel Gawith In Europe?

Thank you, this was just what I wanted to hear! Great to hear that Germany is finally getting some. Time to get my card ready ha ha ha

    Samuel Gawith In Europe?

I would definetly buy from synjeco if it wasn't for the fact that they are not in the EU, and because of taxes the tobacco would be just as costly as here, probably. But they have plugs which could be fun. I can agree that $30 is not an incredible amount, but I want to eventually stock up and...

    Samuel Gawith In Europe?

I tried some St James Flake a while ago and it was extraordinary. But Samuel Gawith blends have been out of stock here in Europe (at least Germany) since I started smoking. There are some sold in Sweden, but it retails for about $30 per 50g/2oz tin, and that is too much. Does anyone know of...
