    01/2015 Pipe Acquisitions

Nate Every one pictured I would like to own. Congrats on those excellent acquisitions! I believe I own enough of Rad's pipes at the current moment, but S Bang is on my list of must haves. Being single does have some rewards.

Michael Parks: My 2nd Commisioned Pipe Process

Iamn8 The pictures you posted are not ones I have seen from Michael. They are indeed beautiful as well as unusual. I also have ordered a commission and I believe he will begin work early February, or late this month. It is for a large blasted bent billiard, near group 6 size. Good luck with...

    Another Pipeman Gone

Let me add my sorrow for your loss of what sounds like a very fine gentleman. 68 nowadays is quite young to pass. Did by any chance you inherit his pipe? Sounds like a fine smoker and you could probably refurbish it in honor of his memory.

What is the Oldest Tobacco Tried from a Mylar Bag?

Actually, I have some ancient Captain Black (or some other drug store type aro, can't remember) and I have it stored in a mylar (plastic heavier duty) bag on a shelf at work. I'm sure its at least 5 years old and it still smells good when I go near it. With enough polyglycol type stuff, I'm...

Decisions, Decisions ... Which Pipe To Buy? (Cartoon)

You guys are very funny. The shoe thing, the jewelry thing, lets not forget about handbags. My wife has so many bags I just don't where she stores them. Blueye I do the same thing, but the credit card bill comes to the house.

Any Difference in Dunhill Bulk vs Tins?

Kane I could be mistaken, but the advantage of tins, especially VA's, is the ageing process. In addition, if you care, the value for sale in the years to come. Selling bulk tobacco to others is quite difficult whereas tins are very easy. One other advantage of tins is that if you buy bulk and...

For The Love Of God, Somebody Stop Me!!!!!

Nate I too need more pipes-like another hole in the head, as they used to say. I didn't even bother with any new year's resolutions because I know that I won't pay attention anyway. Maybe we should form a special group for PAD like AA does. When you feel the urge coming on, just call your...

    Pipe Cabinet Project

This is a beautiful cabinet with great potential. But, my thinking is that since most of us smoke all of our pipes, wouldn't a tight closed cabinet stop the air circulating to fully dry out the pipes after use? I store my pipes in open racks where air can circulate freely. Just thinking.

    Blackhouse Burns Fast?

I have 6 tins of blackhouse plus a large open mason jar, but I really can't say that I've noticed a 'faster burn' than any other blend. I'm going to try a bowl and see if I notice a difference.

Weezell I agree and I have 6 tins of it after my initial try at Chicago. But, it's still not 759.

    Pinterest Anybody?

I know that my wife and daughter use it, but I can't figure out what it is and why I would want to use it as a pipe smoker Echie, when I clicked on your hyperlink it immediately wanted me to sign up or I was locked out. What's it about?

    Back...At Last

Puffy I wish you a speedy recovery. Shoulder replacement? Sounds like a bitch. I've had both shoulders done from minor accidents and I can't even imagine a shoulder being replaced. Good luck with therapy.

    Match 759 Sobranie

Has anyone seen the ad from Pipes and Cigars.com regarding 'Match for Sobranie 759'? http://www.pipesandcigars.com/search/?q=MATCH+Balkan+Sobranie+759 Has anyone tried it? I thought that Blackhouse was Russ' match to the old 759. PS. My apologies if this has been discussed before. I have been...
