The Canadian Edition Box Pass - Round 1

We didn't actually outline a maximum time - but of course, we're all excited to partake, so use common-sense and try and ship within a week of receiving the box. That said, I've spoken with Ohin in PM's, he apologized profusely for and explained the delay and confirmed it was shipped Monday the...

    MY DUNHILL

Just watch out for the cake in his bowels! tbradsim1; that typo made me laugh far more than it should have but I agree wholeheartedly, Steve (Pipestud) Fallon is a great guy to deal with. Very nice Dunhill too!

Any updates on the boxes progress?

    Is this healthy?

Busyhands, check out the new MacBaren HH Old Dark Fired, all I will say for the time being is it is great stuff and healthy with nic. Of you really want to kick it up, look for some 1792 from Samuel Gawith. I have a very high nicotine tolerance, and I find that stuff hard to take in large...

Thinking of getting a Chacom; any experiences?

I've got a lone Chacom in my stable, but she has never failed to provide me with an exceptional smoke (although I did ace the stinger). From the "Quebec" line; I topped the bowl, then faded the blast to deal with a massive chip.

    TO HOT!

Barker, you can send some of that out west...big 12c on my patio right now; between us we have a very comfortable mean!

    Cobs

Same price at my local B&M as NSfisher; Legends here - although they will bring in Prides (my favourite model) on request for $7 per. MM hardwood are $12.

    Oh BABY I am tired!

Congratulations! This bowls for you and your boys, my friend!

    Butz-Choquin pipes

Ohiopuffer, if you are having a hard time dissassembling your pipes, toss them in the freezer for awhile - preferrably while unlit and cold. Leave them in for half-an-hour - and don't peek/fiddle. The plastic tenon will contract faster than the wooden mortise, allowing you to dissassemble the...

    McClelland Wilderness

I smoke Wilderness fairly regularly, one of the few English blends my wife enjoys the room-note of. In fact, I even reviewed the blend in January - check out the comments for some amazing insights into the "McClelland Ketchup" by Tad Gage.

    D-Day

Fixed that for ya! More than a few relatives interred at Bény-sur-Mer from the Juno Beach landings and consiquential actions; but from what the few that made it back have told me, it really doesn't matter who's uniform you were wearing, if you landed on the hell that was any one of the five...

    Peterson's 80 Flame Grain

Gorgeous, I love the 80s shape and that grain is spectacular!

    More surgery.....

Irish, we're all gunning for you buddy! As wiser folk than I have said, let them poke, prod and do their thing; fix you up right. I know it can be frustrating, but frustrated is a whole hell of a lot better than the other option. Have you tried nasal snuff? I've found it helps my mood...

The Canadian Edition Box Pass - Round 1

The Canadian Edition Box Pass is underway with just over three pounds of tobacco to start! A big thanks to marmal4de for all his hard work putting this together, and to everyone else for giving me credit! :P We've currently got eight on board for this round; I've posted a copy of the list on...

    Soda

Just after brushing your teeth. I have yet to find a beer of any variety that compliments toothpaste. Unless you are camping - then all bets are off.

Question: What aesthetics do you like in a pipe?

I seek out traditional shapes, often with long shanks, and always in the smaller sizes. I have a rather narrow face, and usually clench, so anything heavier than the Brigham in my avatar looks silly and tires my jaw.

    B&M/Drug store tobacco prices

Yup, I would definitely agree there. I wonder if they will also be required to drop the NRT's and E-Cigs; or if those will still be considered OK because big-phama has a hand in them (that's rhetorical, btw...I already know the answer).

    Two Flakes Broken

Now you're speakin' my language Pawpaw! Irish Flake is damned fine stuff - but I have to be careful to smoke it on a full stomach, or I end up feeling green. jwp159, my grandfather often compares the aroma of said Irish Flake to the chew/pipe-plug his local druggist kept under glass; he figures...

    B&M/Drug store tobacco prices

Most definitely - although I tend to cross-border shop for my tobacco to avoid the roughly 300% taxation, I do buy the majority of my accessories and pipes through my local tobacconists. I don't mind paying a couple of bucks more (often less than a $10 difference when you factor in shipping and...

    B&M/Drug store tobacco prices

I'm pretty sure that is regulated provincially, and based on square footage dedicated to pharmacy, as you can certainly buy tobacco at London Drugs and Shoppers Drug Mart here in B.C. - in fact, they have some of the best prices around, at $19.99 for a 50g pouch of CB, Sail, or Amphora. Safeway...
