How Would You Mark A Stem
One of my pipes doesn't have any marking at all on the stem & I believe I see a slightly flusher fit with the stem one way round (a very slightly closer fit) To save all the faffing/second guessing when reassembling after cleaning I was thinking about marking the stem so that I knew which way...- TinCup

Pipe Versus Cigar Image

I'd say for me it was the 'unknown pipe smoker' from a long long time ago that got me into it No one I knew smoked a pipe but even as a kid catching the aroma from a waft of pipe smoke from some random unknown pipe smoker once in a while, it was easily distinguishable from cigars and cigarettes...- TinCup
