    Another thought is to put smaller amounts into jars or bags. I used to use half pint jars and put two to two and half ounces per jar. Now I use smaller size mylar bags. I'd rather have small amounts open while the rest ages away.

    56% VA - McClelland/McCranies, FVF 36% VA/OR - McClelland, Motzek, D&R, GLP 6% VA/BUR - Stonehaven 2% VA/PER - D&R Had to check online for my totals. Pretty surprised at the numbers. I really thought VA/OR would have been my biggest percentage.

    I'm perfectly happy just smoking straight virginia's and virginia/orientals. Trying to smoke down the cellar to about a dozen blends and would even happier if I could half that amount of blends. But more power to the folks that want a huge variety. It helps to keep everybody in business.

    Peter Heinrichs is a great company to deal with. Used them a bunch back in day until their cigar pricing got too high. Awesome vendor but their website says they don't ship tobacco products to the U.S. I would send them an email, that could just be abouts cigars.

    Blend Age: What's Optimal?

    The only blends that I like that I ever felt I needed to age was McClelland red virginias. It took some of the sharpness out of them. But if you loved that sharpness, years in the tin will fade that out some. I enjoy FVF and Stonehaven fresh, but cellared them just to have a lifetime supply...

    Canning Instead Of Jarring

    I would take a look at mylar over canning. I've been using 7 mil mylar bags to store tobacco. Wished I had been using them all along. I wont be using jars anymore for long term storage.
