    Meerschaum Technique

Welcome back... Ya know, I think it depends on the individual pipe and tobacco combination. Some bowls, whether it's a meerschaum or brier smoke right on through with few relights, and others don't. I don't have the answer as to why, just happens.

    $30 vs $300 Pipes

I'm with tbradsim1 and foggymountain on this one. I have a no name I bought in '72 that I paid about $7 for 'then', it's full of fills and now has a cracked bowl, but still smokes great! It's been in the lake a couple times, but drys out well and keeps on smoking. It's actually one of my best...

My Ebay Dunhill 835 ODB Received

I hate when I spend 15 minutes typing, and only three letters come out! EFP is short for Excellent F**ing Pipe! I agree with sergemoat in that Dunhill didn't stamp the oval logo until later than '61. Anyway, that is an excellant buy at less than $400 for an estate. You did good Buddy! Enjoy!

    Got Down on Myself.

Where the hell are you? I know Courtney can just ask at the local VFW or American Legion for help, and you'll have people over there to build you some rails and whatever you need around the tub! Send her over to have a beer...... I know you may not want to ask for help, but please do ----...

    First Peterson question w/ pics

From what I've seen in the past, Peterson 'names' their pipes as opposed to giving a model number. Like Silver Spigot, or Silver Mount Supreme. Your pipe looks like it's close to these categories.... I'd guess it's a military mount stem. (An Excellent Pipe.... Good Snag!)

I think I am doing something wrong - cleaning

During my smoke, if I see something accumulating on the rim, I touch a dab of saliva on it and do circles with it on my leg/jeans. Your saliva isn't gonna hurt the pipe.... Smoke and have fun.

    Three Two Many....

If I didn't learn but one thing this week, it was not to try and restore more than one pipe at a time, it's to much work. I've kinda been on a Dunhill kick lately and overloaded a bit.... 1980 Bruyere 1986 Tan County with Cumberland Stem 1969 Shell Briar Billiard 1960 Shell Briar BullDog
