    Savinelli Silver Before/After Restoration

Yes, both. I made a little tool with paper clips to lift up the dents from inside when the vulcanite is hot.

    Savinelli Silver Before/After Restoration

Fat stubby billiard with a silver band. It checked all the boxes for me. I had to rescue it. It looked rough upon arrival but it was worth the trouble.

    Who Likes Pelican Tobacco?

Agreed. Terrible stuff. I’d rather smoke 79 in a bong. I’ll take one for the team and smoke it for you. temporary image hosting

    BBB

BBB’s are usually great smokers, but this one may cause tongue bite. I’ve seen plenty of spider webs in estates but this is the first wasp nest.

Help for a new pipe smoker

Welcome aboard. After packing the pipe, try giving it a few dry puffs before lighting. If it’s too tight then you can dump it and retry. If the pack is too loose, then you can tamp it down as your smoking. As with anything new, you’ll get the hang of it with a little practice.

    Sutliff Tobaccos

Sutliff Blend #5 is a decent all day smoke. H&H Ten to Midnight is very good. I have pipes dedicated to 10/12.

Here’s an el Cheapo I rounded off for that concrete-like cake in estates, when a reamer just won’t do. $0.99

    How to properly relight

As you can see, there are a multitude of techniques. Trial and error until you find what works best for you. My method. After the char light and tamp, I try not to stir or press the bowl at all. For relights, I put a flame to the bowl in a circular motion for just a second.
