    Peterson Christmas Pipe Release

I did order one, careful to avoid any visible "black spots" (whatever they are) and was ok with the rustication as it's on some of my other pipes. Your example shows beautiful copper, and I'm a P-lip fan. It arrived yesterday and the copper was already diminishing like an old Gold Block I've...

How Hard is it to Burnout a Pipe?

I think you've already proven that you're not going to burn out a pipe. The inside of the bowl will get dark, of course, a hard carbon coating. I'm one that doesn't build "cake", as I clean out the chamber after each bowl.

A Little Humor for the Day 2025

We have records of when doctors actually did go on strike, both in the 70's, I believe. Once in L.A., once in Israel. In both instances, death rates went down................. True stats.

Well It Is Getting To Be That Time Of Year

For me, this time of year is when I need to remember to steer a little further away from the corners of my house when I'm wandering around. Took this picture and then 2 minutes later, forgot, turned around to walk back around the house - and walked right into the dang thing. It always takes me a...

Well It Is Getting To Be That Time Of Year

Don't do movies too much, but I'm always up for checking out what @shanez is recommending listening to around October. That suits me for spending time in my garage, door up, pipe smoke roiling, and chill air accompanying the darkness that's coming earlier and earlier........... Although now I've...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

I had a 314 Gold Block but never took to it as the gold plating was disappearing and I knew better than to try and do anything to it; at the same time I didn't want my daily use to continue to wear it off. Since I couldn't enjoy it, I sold it off. Hopefully the buyer has a pipe they love and can...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

I was disappointed it wasn't the new "cobble", but I don't have a Christmas pipe, and I like the copper and P-lip so I got one that I can dedicate to "aromatic" - ish holiday type blends that I may only open and try during holiday seasons. I think the stain color and copper compliment each...

What Am I Missing With Brothers In Arms?

I don't personally air them out without the lid, but 90+% of my experience with C&D is that it's better every week until it's "just right"; usually 3+ weeks after opening. And age. They like to age before opening.

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

To me, it does give the impression of being similar to the Dunmore line, but I thought they "always" had the "etching" and this one's only got the smooth. Looks nice, regardless. That is not the type of junction I have on my Pete meerschaums...

    Strange Object In The Sky

I had a very similar experience 1-2 years ago. Really messed with me for a bit until it got figured out.

Do pipes need to be “Broken In”?

It might take some time to re-develop your palate for the pipe. I wouldn't expect immediate discernment. Personally, I seem to need to break in my palate to a blend more than I need to break in a pipe.

    What are You Reading Now?

Just finished this last week or so. It explains a lot about the behavior of many; especially among a certain age group. I did find some nuggets to help me understand both my behavior and of those around me.

    Well I'm Fat Pt2

All calories are not created equal. Sometimes you get better results by counting chemicals instead of calories. Many find excellent results when they stop consuming industrial engine lubricant because the inflammation begins to go away.

    Well I'm Fat Pt2
