    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

You might still enjoy cigars in the meantime. Or "dip" the pipe tobacco...

The Official UnUnOfficial Not Official PM Secret Santa 2025 Thread

He did such a good job. I can't even imagine the effort needed to do it properly...

How Long does a Bowl Take?

The more you practice, the longer it lasts. From simple repetition and the natural improvements one makes, I've probably doubled the number of years my stash will last me, as a bowl seems to last twice as long as it did in the beginning.

Ideal Size and Form of a Peterson P-Lip Bit

In my limited experience with P-lips, I have found that many of the older system standard ones were narrower, and longer. For me, that made them "roll" a little bit and was a nuisance. I find the newer ones to be generally wider on the system standard, which make them feel "flatter" and sit...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

The briar looks great, but to my eyes it looks like you lost most of the gold? That's what I was concerned about with mine, so I moved it along.

How Do You Organize Your Tobacco Cellar?

Placed into plastic totes until full. Oldest purchases in the back, on the bottom, newer on top. Repeat with the next pile in front of that one. So, only by age of purchase. It's fun to go back and look. My totes are see-through and that helps.

Carolina Red Flake w Perique at Iwan Ries

Yeah, right now there are about 18X non-members on here than members. Feels good to let the "group" know something, but it's not without the consequence of telling the rest of the world.

Well Im Fat Pt 3 - The New Diet

Different sugars create different responses in the body. Not all sugars are equal. Fruit comes with fiber, a natural "mop" to help clean up the excess.

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

Not feeling the Dunmore connection. I appreciate them as distinct. But the all black does offer something. And FWIW, the acrylic on acrylic gives a nice tight fit.

Savinelli dry system is what got me started on this sort of path. I had a few, but got rid of all but 1 after I went to the P-lip. I find them more comfortable. That's why we got choices...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

314 may be the in-between size you're looking for. I have all those sizes and it's an excellent all-round performer. Great bend / clench. 317 very similar but a little smaller bowl and less thickness on the walls. Hangs similarly. The B42 is further "out" and not quite the same comfort, it's...

What Is With Petersons Using P-Lips For All Their New Releases?

I had a Peterson pipe with a fishtail once. Once.

    Matches?

Clueless on that issue. I just know I've been in that little restaurant that made me feel like I was in a Gangsta' movie.

    Matches?

Been there a few times back in my Dallas days............. My office was on that street.

    Peterson Christmas Pipe Release

I wasn't trying to bash it, I really wanted to like it. But I've seen that disappearance of the gold on the Gold Block and didn't want to end up with a similar scenario with a copper band........ I'll try going for a Halloween pipe... At first, the all black didn't appeal, but it's growing on me...
