    Cleaning a pipe

    As am I, and I use isopropyl alcohol to clean my pipes. It evaporates quickly leaving no residue, and there's no temptation to drink it.

    There may be a lack of photographic evidence of Paul Kruger smoking a full bent chimney. However, there was the phenomenon of Boer War pipes of that shape were carved by participants of both sides. They referred to a pipe of that shape as a Kruger.

    I roll a tube of paper and use that as an adapter when I want to tighten the draw in a cob, usually when I'm smoking a shag.
