Castello 55 vs 65 Black Searock And Where To Buy

I may be completely wrong, but my understanding was the K rating was the grading, not the size.

    What Is Your GoTo Lighter?

In the past I have a couple cheap butane pipe lighters I picked up at a B&M. One I have used for about 12 years. The other I picked up a couple years ago. They generally still work fine, and at $10-$20 each, no big deal if lost or they stop working. I picked up a Zippo about 6 months ago, but...

Help Me Select The Most “Peteiest” Peterson

I was able to pick up a Peterson "System Spigot" pipe. Looks Like SP still has some in stock. Something like this: System Spigot

Lighter That Works In High Altitudes

I ended up picking up am IM Corona Old Boy at the Stag Tobacco shop in Colorado Springs on my way up the mountain. They fill all of their lighters with High altitude butane. The Old Boy worked like a champ.

    Cellars....Stash

In 20 plus years of drafting wills, I have written in some odd bequests. As of yet, I do not believe I have had a client bequest his or her tobacco stash to anyone. Nor do I have such a provision in my will as my stash is rather limited

    Castello Pipe Shapes

@laniromee Castello has had a similar effect on my. I kept reading about how great the 55 is, but thought it was an ugly beast with its Jay Leno chin. Eventually saw one at a reasonable price that had a bit less of a chin, and went for it. The more I looked at it, the more I held it, the more...

Who Did We Lose With The Transition?

Agree with you on the color. Not a fan. However, I was actually surprised at how little it did change. Biggest change I feel, is it seems like everything is more spread out. Although sometimes I had a hard time reading the small print of the old site, I did like the compact feel of it...

    My Grandfather's pipes

Why would you want to not smoke them? Enjoy them. Remember your grandfather every time you light one up. If you take care of them, they will still be great pipes to be passed on to your grandchild, and will mean more because there will be memory of you smoking them.

US Customs and FDA are Attacking Pipe Smokers

I guess that was part of my point - "the prices were very reasonable". Was it still reasonable with the $79 tax?

    Beginner

I agree with what has been posted above. Smoking to fast/hot is a possible issue. For me, I also get a much better smoking experience if the pipe is not over packed. If you are using the three layer method, I would suggest modifying it to a 2 layer, or even a 1.5 layer method. Maybe even try...

Just Watched Father the Flame - Any other Documentary Recommendations?

Warren - True. I guess I should have been more specific. Maybe "main stream" would have been a better choice of words. Given the current anti-tobacco movement, my guess is finding any main stream funding source would be a challenge for anything that promoted or "glorified" tobacco.

US Customs and FDA are Attacking Pipe Smokers

A couple questions: Why did you not place your order from a domestic supplier? My guess is, the price was lower? Did you still save money? If so, why "Never Again"? Why should you/we be exempt from paying the same import taxes that SP or other suppliers have to pay? There is a real easy...

    Cellars....Stash

Its not much, its a mess, but it is mine.
