    Biscuits: A Gift From God

No! Then it would be a single half dollar sized biscuit in the center of a large plate with a dab of gravy on one half of the biscuit, some artsy fartsy sauce drizzled on it and 90% of the otherwise empty plate, and a mint leaf or other weird green thing on the side of the biscuit.

    Biscuits: A Gift From God

The fact that a southern cookbook didn't have biscuit recipes should tell you whoever made the book is indeed not southern at all. That's just darn right atrocious!

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

I finished watching the movie, LEE. It's not your typical WWII movie, but that's not a bad thing. It does remind one of some of the atrocities committed. Great care was taken in the recreation of the photographs Lee took, some of which you see during the end credits. If you want an action packed...

The Savinelli 320ks.......Finally Pulled the Trigger

You'll buy more haha! They really are fantastic pipes. Took me a while to purchase one years ago when it seemed they were all the rage here. I thought they were ugly. They're not ugly at all really, they're just not very photogenic. Lovely in person. And if there is such a thing as a magic pipe...

Lane LL-7 in an unfinished Stanwell 15. Still watching this movie, LEE.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

I just began watching a movie called LEE. From IMDB, "The story of photographer Elizabeth `Lee' Miller, a fashion model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II." I was in the mood for a WWII movie, but also for something a little different. This popped up...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

G.L. Pease Abingdon in a Nording Signature Freehand. This was my first ever Nording when higher grade Nordings were just a pipe dream, but it's still one of my favorite pipes. It was also one of my first unstained and unwaxed pipes and began my love of Nordings and of unfinished pipes. It has...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

Don't. Leave it be. Handling it and smoking it will darken it and enhance the grain naturally. From the looks of it as is it has lovely grain. I have a few unfinished pipes, and one of those I did as you are contemplating before I knew better, but wish I had not, as it hasn't changed appearance...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

The Country Squire's Old Toby in a Stanwell Authentic 15. I do love these unstained and unwaxed pipes.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

My Hobbiton Harvest mix in a Peterson St. Patrick's Day 2018 106. Not trying to toot my own horn but I struck gold with this mixture of blends. I just keep coming back to it. It's so yummy it's ridiculous.

    Favorite Balkan/English And Why?

Funny you mentioned this one because I literally just added this to my wishlist at Smokingpipes earlier today. I'll be trying this one soon.

    Wasting Money On Tobacco!!

I find the title of this thread offensive.

    Favorite Balkan/English And Why?

I've been smoking on it in between others. Abingdon is a good blend, but it doesn't really hit that spot. Of all those mentioned that I've tried, I find I enjoy Horizons the most, especially with the flakes folded and stuffed. I detect more flavors at different times and sometimes all at once...

Which Codger Blend to Stock up on in 2025?

Some people say they're the same (I used to say so myself) but they're actually not. If you like CB Dark you'll probably love Lane BCA. I find the Lane BCA is superior in burn, and flavor to CB Dark. It's also great as a mixer.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

Founding Fathers in a Stanwell 139. This pipe is mostly dedicated to John Aylesbury Dragon Flake, but I didn't care yesterday, and after the day I've had today I don't care. It's late. I grabbed the pipe closest to me and the blend closest to me. Light the trusty Zippo, take a satisfying draw...

Show Us The One Pipe You Will Never Part With

Fantastic. The band on that one really sets it apart.

Show Us The One Pipe You Will Never Part With

Is that middle row 3rd down the 904 Virginia you were on the hunt for some years ago?

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

My Hobbiton Harvest mixture in a Stanwell Authentic 139. This is one of my smallest pipes, but there's just something about these 139s. They're lovely shapes, and this one smokes like a champ. It's usually a John Aylesbury Dragon Flake pipe, but sometimes I just want to smoke just anything in...
