***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

Stanwell 139 with whatever is coming out of my "Amazingly Magical Jar Of Everchanging Tobacco." The tobacco gnomes, or fairies, or goblins or whatever they are (I'm guessing gnomes as they know good tobacco) have been working thier magic on it I think because it's pretty darn tasty.

    Anyone Play Video Games?

I've been thinking about that one as well. I saw the trailer some time back and added it to my wish list.

    Changing Pipes During the Day?

I change from pipe to pipe about 90 percent of the time, but every so often I get a wild hair and just say heck with it and load it up again.

Enlighten me on C&D and GLP

GLP has far more than just aromatics. And C&D has far more to offer than thier limited drops. Both have good blends in many styles. And I'm pretty sure GLP is actually all blended by C&D these days.

    What's Your Opinion?

Pretty sure that Dublin is a 904. I won't speak for Embers, but I do know he has quite a few of those. Edit to add. Personally I'd pick the 904. The pot is boring to me.

    Bad Good Advice

These days, I've mostly given up on all the methods and just drop tobacco into the bowl until it's full, press down a bit and just light it. I do fold and stuff flakes because I think the flavor is better and the burn slower. And every once in a while I'll still use the swirl method which does...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

The Country Squire's Old Toby in a Ser Jacopo. I can imagine a hobbit would be quite pleased enjoying a long smoke in this pipe after a big hearty meal... or a second meal... perhaps a third, and after dessert of course.

G.L. Pease Blackpoint in a Savinelli Autograph.

    Homemade Pipe Tampers

I made this out of a piece of left over plateux briar I had. Nothing special about, not even a brass end. But that's what I like about it.

    EMP + Nightcap

Well Balkan Blue is long gone now. It was a McClelland blend. And Black House is going away too, unfortunately.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2025?***

Cult Blood Red Moon in a William Anderson commission. I have two of his pipes which are absolutely fantastic. I'm not sure if he still makes pipes or not but I would certainly like another.

    Anyone Play Video Games?

Lies Of P looked interesting. I may yet try that one.

    EMP + Nightcap

I've heard Balkan Blue/Black House mixed 50% is mighty tasty. However, I'm afraid to open a tin of each just for that purpose.

Any Podcast Fans? What Are Your Favorites?

If you're a fan of Tolkien, I'd highly recommend it. They start out with The Silmarrilion, and then The Hobbit, into The Lord Of The Rings, touching on other bits of his work here and there. Most episodes are between an hour to an hour and a half, sometime taking three episodes in thier...

Any Podcast Fans? What Are Your Favorites?

Lately, I've been listening to The Prancing Pony Podcast. They go chapter by chapter through Tolkien's books. So I'll read a chapter and then listen to them. It's never taken me so long to get through those books, but I'm hooked on thier show and it's been worth it.

    Biscuits: A Gift From God

Not gonna lie, I have to admit their fries are pretty dang tasty.
