What Is Your Favorite "Manly" Poem?

Oh, Sable! And I thought you were so rugged!

    Lacking in the packing?

Hm, thanks... so by gravity fill you guys mean to just sprinkle the tobacco in loosely? I've tried something like that I think, sort of making a funnel out of my thumb and forefinger and then tapping the bowl to settle it all in. And thanks for the link Yano.

***What Are You Smoking, September, 2023?***

This little Meerbowl is a bit shit. You can really taste the importation...gonna push through though. Can I put honey in the stem or something?

    Lacking in the packing?

Picked up a pouch of Half n Half recently and am thoroughly enjoying it. Pairing nicely with coffee and a clipboard, it has mostly supplanted Nutty Irishman as my morning smoke. More evidence, I suppose, of my pallette opening up to new and better things. Or whatever. One problem though; I can't...

    Resting a Pipe

I'm pretty new so, get your pinching salt, but I tend to smoke the same pipe all day, multiple packings without much tlc in between, maybe swab out the moisture. I often have two with me but I just tend to keep one going. I do however have around 10 pipes and I probably don't smoke the same one...

    Permanent Matches?

Thanks guys, looks like I'll be sticking with bic for now. Wasn't really considering one for an every day lighter, but more curious about why they weren't more popular, especially among a group who historically used the hell out of some matches. Apparently, they suck. The more you know.

Not quite sure about this vintage yet, but it pairs well with sunset and the Riviera. Briar, that is.

Bird and Trout knife (Small Hunter)

Ooh, I like that... where'd you get it? Great blade shape, I'd vote that all knives have a finger choil/ricasso area like that...at the international knife congress. Regarding the loop; as a consummate knife addict, I have no idea. Very weird. edit: nevermind, got one. haha. I'll let you know...

Recommendations for Moving Away from Aromatics.

Eagerly watching this thread. I'm always chasing this particular flavor dragon. Seems like we have similar pallettes. Thanks.

***What Are You Smoking, September, 2023?***

FrankenCob and a mix of Early Morning and Nutty Irish. Damned delightful, sinful as it may sound to some. Not sure why but it seems like I can pack it pretty carelessly and it holds a nice ember regardless.

    Is this a Peterson?

Yeup, got busy this week and missed everything I was looking at. A couple other unsmoked 70's "Austria" meers I was watching went for under 30 bucks. Fu--crap.

Kiribi Kabuto - How is Yours Holding Up?

Glad I ran across this thread. Was considering one of these but having wasted 40-ish bucks a couple times, I'd pretty much given up on budget grade pipe lighters. Someday I'll buy a Corona or something but Bics and the refillable Clippers are doing just fine for now. Not being a surgeon, I only...
