One Pound in a Ball Jar

I can easily fit 8oz of dry C&D ribbon cut into 2 separate pint jars. I could likely make 10-12oz fit so I would say 3-4 pint jars would be good for 1 lb.

    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

This is great practice for when all the codgers die out in the next 10-15 years. We 80s and 90s-born pipe smokers need to maintain the venerable tradition of complaining about literally everything!

    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

I’m not a huge fan of what I’m seeing on the mobile site. You can’t see nearly as many fresh arrivals from the various pipe brands without scrolling left and right through a cumbersome menu.

***What Are You Smoking, March 2025?***

Yeah it sounds like a great pipe. My pipes are almost all exclusively in the 1.2-1.5 inch chamber depth range. I love smaller pipes. You can always pack another one if need be. I usually don’t even pack full bowls on the pipes that are closer to 1.5-1.6 in depth.

Super cool meer. Is it a Muhsin? It reminds me of his work.

    Favorite Borderline Aromatics?

Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic. I know it’s literally got aromatic in the name, but there are lots of natural tobacco flavors to be enjoyed here as well. It’s a fantastic blend and I doubt the wife could find fault in the room note. Of course, my wife hates the room note and prefers when I smoke...

Is a Light, Soft, Fluffy Pipe Smoke That Doubles as a Cigarette Blend Better?

Many blends are just as good rolled into cigarettes as they are stuffed into a pipe and have even been marketed as such historically.

Name A Blend That's Better Now Than In The Past

I heard steak and shake switched from vegetable oil to beef tallow for their fries. I haven’t tried them yet but I’m assuming it’s an improvement.

    Favorite Borderline Aromatics?

I would just be careful with some of the Gawith blends if you mostly smoke Newminster. Most Gawith blends will be much more stout in the nicotine department.

***What Are You Smoking, March 2025?***

Exclusive in a Tekin. I’m about halfway through my 2oz sample. It’s pretty darned good fresh, but would likely be heavenly after a few years in a jar. I might buy some lbs in the future.
