    Why are estate pipes ok?

At the end of the day it’s a preference thing, so you do you. For me, the majority of my collection are estate pipes. I’ve had the great joy of hunting them down at antique shops and the pleasure of restoring them. In restoring the pipes there is a sanitation process. I am more of the mind...

    Ben Wade ID

When I worked at a B&M we had a number of freehands. I was often tempted to get one with my employee discount but the drilling on the pipes prevented me. The ones that I liked were all drilled off center or too high. I hope the ones you are getting are spot on.

It really is a nice piece of briar, and it smokes excellent. This is another pipe I found at an antique store. I paid somewhere around $10-$15 for it. I think I got my moneys worth :)

Doblone d’Oro (2019) in a Saseini Four Dot Buckingham. Found this pipe at an antique shop a number of years ago. I think the previous owner used the rim as a hammer.

Google AI is Now Pushing Illegal Street Drugs

That’s just it. People do not know what they are buying. Dealers are lacing drugs with fentanyl at lethal levels. I’m not excusing the free choices people make. However, I hate the destruction it brings to so many.

Google AI is Now Pushing Illegal Street Drugs

I understand fentanyl may have a place in the hospital but there is too much of it on the streets. I’ve lost many close friends to overdoses from it.

    Biggest cob bowl?

I would guess it to be their Freehand if it is still available.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2025?***

A couple of years ago I went on a huge burley kick but have lost my taste for it as of late. I hope it comes back because I have plenty in the cellar that needs to get smoked!

I’ve had my tin open for 3-4 weeks. Your experience makes me feel like I am missing something. Luck will have it I will come to my last pipe full and it will all click for me.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2025?***

I’m currently smoking through a tin from 2012 and have been somewhat underwhelmed. I’d be interested to know how you are getting along with it.

Smoking Sessions - Splitting up a bowl

If walking a way for a time, I may run a pipe cleaner through first. Take out all the excess moisture and not let it sit around and get funky. I would likely run a pipe cleaner through before my first relight as well.

Smoking Sessions - Splitting up a bowl

Some folks really enjoy coming back to the same bowl at a later time. You may even hear the phrase “delayed gratification technique” or DGT tossed around. I say go for it!

    Baking Bread.

My wife just bought a mill. It had been a game changer for us. Right now she is making smaller things like muffins and pancakes until we can save up enough for a quality mixer. At that point she will venture into bread.
