    It’s a Parker, so it’s the brownish stuff. That’s a better quality rubber and will clean up nice. I would say the white stuff is environmental.

    Sometimes it’s brown. It depends on the rubber formula.

    Well there’s oxidation and then there’s OXIDATION. The deep green stuff requires drastic measures. The hazy gray stuff can be polished away. It’s more like pre oxidation.

    To be fair it says Haze Away, which is a slightly different thing. It doesn’t say Green Away. So I guess the stuff functions as a stem polish/conditioner. Which is fine.

    Yeah, if it’s just the edge, maybe a light top and bevel it. If the whole backside is burned you should investigate how deep it goes. It’s often pretty bad. People sometimes use a bowl coating over a burn. It might work. Or it might burn more under the coating. If it’s not too bad, clean it...
