It’s a Parker, so it’s the brownish stuff. That’s a better quality rubber and will clean up nice. I would say the white stuff is environmental.- xrundog

Well there’s oxidation and then there’s OXIDATION. The deep green stuff requires drastic measures. The hazy gray stuff can be polished away. It’s more like pre oxidation.- xrundog

To be fair it says Haze Away, which is a slightly different thing. It doesn’t say Green Away. So I guess the stuff functions as a stem polish/conditioner. Which is fine.- xrundog

Yeah, if it’s just the edge, maybe a light top and bevel it. If the whole backside is burned you should investigate how deep it goes. It’s often pretty bad. People sometimes use a bowl coating over a burn. It might work. Or it might burn more under the coating. If it’s not too bad, clean it...- xrundog
