No Wonder the Aliens are Content to Watch Instead of Invade

All they have to do is wait for the monkeys with guns to kill each other off and then move right in.

    Dunhill Dress Stain Question.

Do the pipe the way you like it. No matter what you do somebody is going to have a problem with it. A clean pipe with a nice stem and sharp stamps will usually do pretty well.

Reviving an old Pete 307 style

Yeah. Dig out what you can with dental picks or the like. I will stuff cotton in a well , soak with alcohol and see what it wicks up. Usually quite a bit. Do that until not much comes out. Swab it with alcohol q-tips to get the last bit.

    Dunhill Dress Stain Question.

Looked at some images to refresh my memory. They do indeed come new black. I imagine the heat fades that pretty fast. The few secondary market pipes look a lot like yours. I might polish it by hand with micromesh cloth and wax it. If you don’t like it, it’s easy enough to dye it later.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

OJK in an ornate RBC billiard. The cap and band have an art nouveau strawberry motif. I’m pretty sure it’s 19th century.

    48h Restoration Marathon

This is not a criticism. If you are rounding edges, maybe use a soft buffing wheel. I use soft whhels and don’t have a problem rounding edges or blurring stamps. I also use very little pressure. It does probably take more time though.

    Cleaning a Rusticated Rim?

    Yep, got it.
  18. xrundog

Is this cake starting or is it burning out after 2 smokes?

Your probably still tasting bowl coating. If it’s burning out you’ll taste burnt wood. It’s very distinctive.

    All I know

Nice nondescript Italy pipe. Did someone smooth a rusticated rim?
