New Video Of Tin Equipment At Gawith

But tins were never made for collecting. This is just some new trend that has come about in recent years. Tins were used so people could easily carry around their tobacco and slip the tin into their pocket or whatever and it stayed relatively fresh from production to smoking. And tobacco was...

New Video Of Tin Equipment At Gawith

Absolutely. Used to be one blend that had cocaine in it.....not allowed to do that anyone LOL. Now with all the health and safety and as pretty much everything that is added has to be food grade safe, I suggest it's far less dangerous in terms of additives and chemicals than it used to be. But...

New Video Of Tin Equipment At Gawith

We are a tobacco manufacturer not a tin manufacturer (although we did look at the latter but costs were prohibitive). C&D are round tins. Everyone knows that round tins are much easier to get a better seal on due to the design. They are also much more expensive to produce, more difficult to...

New Video Of Tin Equipment At Gawith

Sure if don't mind it going moldy or the opposite and being completely dried out by time it reaches you ;) Solution would be to buy directly and local and smoke straight away (or grow your own and make) - similar with say bread and not adding preservatives and many other food products.

New Video Of Tin Equipment At Gawith

The vacuum machine came from Samuel Gawith's and was used there before. Now used daily to vacuum seal all tins. The tamper heat seal machine is a year or two old.

What a Samuel Gawith Tin Looks Like After 10 Years

Thank you. What my brother has done with the company over the last few years is amazing. We are excited to take the company forward and explore new avenues and products. There are mostly certainly a lot of challenges but also lots to look forward to. @anotherbob not sure I have had better jobs...

What a Samuel Gawith Tin Looks Like After 10 Years

Personally 20 years ago I was a young lawyer and not really involved in the running of the company much and neither was my brother, was was pursuing an engineering degree and career. But no, I don't think either of us really considered we'd be expanding the company as we are.

What a Samuel Gawith Tin Looks Like After 10 Years

Oh definitely not unaware of it! And not going to explain again the temporary issue we had and why changes were made and where we are at now.

What a Samuel Gawith Tin Looks Like After 10 Years

Nope. Can't meet demand as it is, order book full for months....a tiny amount of resale makes no difference to us at all.

What a Samuel Gawith Tin Looks Like After 10 Years

We do vacuum seal, every single tin.....as I have stated many many times. Yes only the standard rectangular tins have the heat shrink tamper seal (security feature - not a sealing device) as the round tins are limited edition only.

What a Samuel Gawith Tin Looks Like After 10 Years

Actually the company owner (not a rep) is on here to constantly put right the "folklore" and other misrepresentations spread as well as answer queries. I have no idea where you apparently read the above as its complete nonsense. Not my words....you completely misconstruing what I have said. We...

    Grousemoor by Samuel Gawith

Tins have never been made for long term storage and never will be. Packaging is made to try and ensure the tobacco reaches the end consumer in as top quality as possible and not to sit around on the shelf for ages or in a cellar.

    Grousemoor by Samuel Gawith

Well Company and Spokesperson are one and the same, given spokesperson part owns and helps run company.

    Grousemoor by Samuel Gawith

No. My point was that adding more "sauce" does not make it stronger, just wetter. So we are not scrimping on sauce etc......No change to anything.

    Grousemoor by Samuel Gawith

They haven't! I had long discussions with our senior production staff about this the other day. Nothing has changed. And in fact adding "more" would make no difference to the flavour, just make the tobacco more wet. It's about the actual ingredients in the 'sauce' not the amount added and this...

    Germain/Esoterica- No Warning Labels

Nope. The SG tins we supply America have a smaller label on the rear only and say distributed by Laudisi. These must be old tins as we no longer use Kretek as a distributor and haven't for a while.

    Germain/Esoterica- No Warning Labels

So having checked what we do (as we sell to numerous countries) we do not put nicotine warnings on tins for the USA. There is a warning label on the back of the tin only. This is a California health warning as required by that State and as our distributor asks us to put on. So there is nothing...

    Germain/Esoterica- No Warning Labels

We are well aware of the exact warning and labelling requirements required for each country. This is something we work closely with with each distributor we work with for each country. America has different requirements to Europe. Each company also has their own requirements as to how labels...

    Germain/Esoterica- No Warning Labels

Nothing has been dropped. If anything getting more stringent.
