    I think that's why I mostly smoke C&D blends. I know they are still cased, but it seems like they are more "pure" than many European manufacturers. Initially I didn't find the appeal with C&D and found most of their blends to be boring in the pipe. I've since come to appreciate what they offer.

    It does indeed have more VA and definitely improves with age. The oldest I've had is 4 years and it was excellent.
