Alternative to Paragon and Halcyon Waxes

No, the thing is finding something that doesn’t collect in the crevices of sandblasted and rusticated pipes. I’ve spent way too much time trying to clean out the wrong wax out with a toothpick.

There's More To Hacker Than You May Know

RCH was my introduction to the hobby. I had no idea that pipes were collectible before a tobacconist handed me the a new book called The Ultimate Pipe Book that had just arrived. I had a letter out to Tom Dunn of the Pipe Smokers Ephemeris a few days later.

Show Off Your Pipe Tamper Here

I’ve enjoyed collecting tampers about as long as I’ve collected pipes. I’ve got a few solid collections that I’ve spent way too much money on but I still buy more.

    Pipe Collection Succession Planning

I’ve gotten as far as telling mrslax that all the pipes have a sleeve and box and that these shelves have the valuable tobacco. I’m sure it went in one ear and out the other.

End Tobacco Loopholes Act (United States)

I’m surprised we can still mail order tobacco and that big tobacco didn’t go after tax parity with RYO “pipe tobacco” long ago. The only thing that went away fast were the commercial high speed rollers that smoke shops had for a short time.

I’m definitely a Dunhill fan but I’m going to say Castello Shape 15 billiard. It’s a wide ranging shape with an even wider range of size, style and finish options. I’ve actively collected the 15 for years and don’t have two identical pipes. Check out my daveinlax instagram page for pictures of...
