    Bob’s Chocolate Flake

Nope, we have never had a blender called Bob. We have had the same blenders for 30 to 40 years. No idea who "Bob" of Bob's Chocolate Flake is. Will try and remember to ask.

    Tobaccos only available in UK?

It could be old stock. All I can tell you is we no longer deal with Synjeco and have not sent any tobacco there since 2022.

    Tobaccos only available in UK?

Gawith Hoggarth don't and never have made a Greedodd Rope. It appears to be our packaging and our older stye GH boxes. We have not sent any tobacco to Switzerland since 2022.

    Vacuum Sealed and Well Aged

This is because previously Kopp put on their own tax stamps so we could not band them or they had to take the bands off to put the tax stamps on. Now everything is done in house. The rubber seal is inside the tin so every tin has this. The tins are manufactured and come with the seal on the lid...

    Vacuum Sealed and Well Aged

The story is that GH/SG tins have never been made for long term storage. Our tobacco is and always has been made to smoke, not store for years and years. GH tins were not actually historically vacuum sealed. That's a relatively new thing in the last 15 years or so. ALL GH tins and SG tins...

    GH Rum Flake

Obviously does not work for what? The clear plastic is a heat sealed anti-tamper device - if your tin had this on and was intact then it shows the tin has not been opened or tampered with in any way prior to you getting it and so the plastic wrap has indeed done its exact job.

***What Are You Smoking, October 2023?***

I'd have to try and dig into that as don't recall there ever being a Top Black Cherry just Kendal BC and Exclusive Black Cherry. Whether the latter can be sold in the States will depend on whether it was grandfathered years ago.

    Tobacco Globalism

I have no idea the date that the trustees of Samuel Gawith actually submitted the final accounts and filed to close the company. But we took over Samuel Gawith in spring 2015. And that is when the brands became ours and machinery and staff moved to our factory. Any final bits of bureaucracy...

    Tobacco Globalism

"It is possible that they are just the Distributor I guess." Not just possible, is exactly this and there are signed legal documents to this effect. And no, I am not posting copies here :) You'll just have to take my word for it. Kopp are distributors for Germany, just like Laudisi are for...

    Tobacco Globalism

Yes we've looked at many options. But it would not be only a few pennies more per tin when you are looking at whole new packing lines, massive investment in new machinery, having to ensure packaging complies with track and trace and all sorts. Plus Square tins are part of our brand and we would...

    Tobacco Globalism

I am not wasting my time addressing the tin issue again. It has been addressed and explained a hundred times. I stand by everything that I have said. I addressed this point: ""Samuel Gawith no longer attends the fair [Inter-Tabak] since Bob Gregory left. I read on PipesMagazine the following...

    Tobacco Globalism

Thanks for the laugh this morning! And yes when I see BS and outright rumour and falsehoods I will call it out. I understand there will always be one or two that seem to think they know more about our business and company than we do. And who are not willing to accept the facts and truth. As...

    Tobacco Globalism

Again more BS! 1) Kopp distribute for Gawith Hoggarth & Co in Germany, including the Samuel Gawith brand. They do not own or produce any tobacco for us and never have. 2) Bob Gregory left Gawith Hoggarth for reasons I am not going to go into here, along with the former managing director and a...

    G&H Doing Rattrays and McConnell?

Old news, happened a while ago, must be coming up 2 years now.

    G&H Doing Rattrays and McConnell?

Just people making up stuff as usual. Samuel Gawith is a brand of Gawith Hoggarth & Co and will remain so. Kopp distribute for us in Germany.

    G&H Doing Rattrays and McConnell?

Yes of course Samuel Gawith is still made in our factory in Kendal. "There has been recent mention of K&K is that distribution or actual production?" Not sure what you asking? We are distributors as stated above.

    G&H Doing Rattrays and McConnell?

We are the distributors of Rattrays and McConnell and Sutliffs in the UK.

What Retired Blends Would you Bring Back?

The Copycat comment was made in the sense that the new release of Brown Sugar was a copycat of the original release. It was not, it was simply a re-release.
