    DAMN!!! MOLDY G & H DARK PLUG

The mold probably came with the tobacco. Ive heard of entire batches that were sent and jarred all over the country getting moldy. Ive just got lucky I guess. I just wash the jars with dish soap, dry, then jar. Ive got a few hundred jars, none moldy yet. They are from 2008-2024. Im more worried...

    DAMN!!! MOLDY G & H DARK PLUG

Ugg, I should not say this but in 30 years, ive yet to have any mold issues with pipe tobacco. I had an entire humidor of great cigars, about 40 of them, grow white hair! At first I thought it was cobwebs, but no, it was mold. I threw them all away and wiped the humidor down with bleach. :) And...

A father and son thing, one of the greatest lessons

Its funny that my dad sounds the complete opposite, but exactly the same too. My dad is currently 86 years old and as jovial as a man can be. Never has a negative thing to say...usually. He hasn't always been this way. He's always been a great dad, but was very strict when we were growing up...

Per Jensen’s Upcoming Blends at C&D

Many of my favorite blends were done by Per Jensen while at MacBaren. Can't wait to see how things go.

    Ding Dong Murder

God knows im not defending this guy AT ALL. Ive been involved in a lot of firearm related court cases, about 2000 of them. An "initial report" can often change. Ive seen no less than several hundred cases like this turn into more than what was reported. Just for instance.... A case I gave an...

The Biggest Revelation I’ve Ever Had That Changed Pipe Smoking For Me Forever

I believe the "retrohale" is very important for tasting tobacco. Oddly enough, most people do it, many dont even know they do. Ive sat with many pipers who say they cannot do that because their sinuses will revolt. Or claim that retrohaling IS inhaling and they would never do that. The entire...

Luxury Bullseye Flake, 5 yrs old

Ive got some LBF from 2010 and 2012, and a bunch of LNF from 2008-2013. Both improve from very average, to absolutely sublime....in my opinion. Ive been smoking through some of the LNF because its not gonna get any better. And I have several pounds well over a decade old. Maybe a giveaway is in...

Well It Is Getting To Be That Time Of Year

Johnny Depp in the first "A Nightmare On Elm Street", and Jennifer Aniston in the first "Leprechaun" are probably the most famous.

Corona Old Boy - Are They Worth It?

I have two Old Boys, a plain chrome one and 1 with the pipe shapes. I bought them about 18 or so years ago when I really started with the online forums. I bought a lot of expensive pipes, a lot of tobacco, and ALL the accessories. I used the OB for a few years but eventually the Bic won the...

    A New Tobacco Tray...

That's very cool. My tray is a bit less fancy, and not as dangerous when thrown. But it is easily replaceable. I went with the elegant blue swirl pattern.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2025?***

Its not a "knock your socks off" complex blend, but its also not a wimpy light Virginia. Its got a bit of strength and a tiny bit of VA spice. You'll need a sharp knife. Its the absolute most dense chunk of tobacco ive ever held. Don't drop it on your toes!! :) This is what's left of my first...

    Pesse Canoe

Noooo, that's just sugar crystals! Smoke it, it'll be great!! Just kidding, that's the moldiest tobacco I've ever seen. I got a tin from them a few months ago. Now im worried for the rest of my cellar. :(

    Fall / Halloween 2025!

To me anything with Latakia is great on cool Autumn days. Also any maple or rum flavored aromatics go great in Fall. Vanilla and anise are good for me too. Sutliff Great Outdoors is a decent aromatic with vanilla.

Mmmmmmm, Wessex Gold Brick in a Peterson XL315 System. For those of you who have not tried this stuff, go directly to @Nova Pipes & Tobacco website and purchase some. 3.5 ounces of great Virginia brick for barely more $$ than a 50g tin. :)

    Pay it forward giveaway

Its tough to give stuff away sometimes. These are great blends that EVERYONE wants, but won't bite. I think its the "im not worthy" thing. I have it, and know many others that suffer from it. The thought is that I dont NEED this, and there is definitely someone who hasn't tried it who is more...

    Breaking Fast

Great cigar to break your fast! I do not smoke pipes or cigars from November-March....because its too cold. I spend hours a day outside in the winter. The LAST thing I want to do is spend more time RELAXING outside! :) The first week back in the Spring is always great. Everything tastes fantastic.

    Ashtray

Very cool! Im not allowed to have an ashtray outside where I smoke. It just gets filled with bent pipe cleaners and looks horrible......or so I hear. :)
