    Canned Tobacco Questions

I just fill em up and close the jar. After a few months most of the jars seem to create their own seal.

    Stiff Pipes

I thought about that Kris, but it says it has a briar bowl. The older pipes had plastic exteriors and pyrolitic graphite bowls. Mostly I was just surprised to see a pipe as an entry on that website. Never smoked one, and probably never will.

    Stiff Pipes

I was browsing the internet earlier and came across a post on a gear blog. They claim it's the first plastic pipe. What about "the pipe", "venturi" and "the smoke" pipes?

New Spot for My Pipes and Tobacco

Wasn't labeled when I bought it, but a week later I saw one similar labeled as a Dunhill, and another with Deco. Here's an image that looks like my rack, only mine has 6 spaces in front and 6 spaces in back

New Spot for My Pipes and Tobacco

My pipes and tobaccos were taking over my desk so today I snagged a cabinet from the big box store. I used to have my unopened tins in a file drawer and now I have 3 shelves. I think a little TAD might be in order. How many spots have your collections outgrown?

    Military Mount Question

Doc, I was only referring to the army mounts that did not have an external ferrule, but instead use an inlaid ring of somekind. I do have a few external ferrule army mount pipes(peterson system, and Ferndown spigot), but lately these "modern military" mounts as Lonestar called them have been...

    Military Mount Question

Is there a specific term for the type of military mount seen here? Specifically the way the briar is reinforced with a metal ring, not a ferrule but inlaid into the briar. I'll try to find a clearer picture.

Very nice! I've been eyeballing Rad's work for a while, his work seems to get snatched up quick. Perhaps comissioning is the way to go.

    Colorado Roll Call

I grew up in Boulder, but I've been living elsewhere for the past seven years. On my last visit in February I visited Edwards Pipe Shop in Englewood. It was a very nice, they have the largest pipe tobacco selection I've seen at a B&M. Its a definite stop for me next time im in town. Additionally...
