You Never Forget Your First: Reflections on Three Years of Pipe Smoking
My first was a Lorenzo Cadore bent billiard with a rum and butter house blend. Both of which I bought at a Sheffield & Sons in a local mall. Prince Albert in a Can
I went to dig up this old tin and to my surprise it was a Velvet tin! I’ve never smoked Velvet nor does it sound like something I’d enjoy that much, too mild. It’ll still make a good tin to carry some tobacco out and about.- augiebd

Mindless/Mindful Smoking, Right Ways/Wrong Ways
Agreed, in the beginning I had to focus when everything was new. For me the doing other things at the same time helped me to move on to doing less or “nothing” while smoking which helped things become more natural. Ehrlich's Meerschaum Lathe tooling.
So cool, except now you will get all the requests to do tap and thread repairs on vintage meerschaum pipes. It’s like that one friend with a pick-up. Ironically, I have a 1911 meerschaum that needs this kind of repair. Don’t worry, I’m not hinting, I’ll get around to it.- augiebd

Another Level Of Snobbery.
I enjoy all forms of decaf coffee, avoiding the caffeine for health reasons, but love the taste of coffee. Not all coffee is equal but that’s okay. I do add a little milk but black is okay too. Less snobby, almost promiscuous.- augiebd

I don’t have a smoking jacket yet but do plan to get one some time this year. Perhaps in a pattern that won’t show burns readily. Although maybe a smoking jacket should show some wear from smoking. Thoughts?- augiebd
