    Selected Straight Grain pipes were originally a Specimen Straight Grain until a fault in the briar was found. Specimen SG pipes were the highest grade of Comoy pipes.

    They are a second, but they are are a second of the Giubileo d'Oro. Basically is is a Giubileo d'Oro with a fill or two. Beautiful pipes! Don

    Found A Treasure In An Antique Store...

    Corallos are very porous, use a toothbrush and water or alcohol (Everclear) to clean the exterior of the pipe. Any type of soap with be absorbed into the Corallo briar and leave a soapy taste when smoked. Great finds!!!!

    On my examples, there are not letters following the shape number. The B after shape numbers indicates a variation of shape, as far as I can tell. Most reinforced at the push pipes in my collection are Blue Ribands, Royal Comoy's and London Prides that are pre-war or just a bit after the war...

    Old Catalogs

    I have been collecting Comoy's catalogs and price sheets. Right now I have hard copies of 1965, 1970, 1971 and 1977. It is nice to have the digital versions of other eras as well.
